‘The Fault In Our Stars’ Special Editions Have Exclusive Scenes And Gifts

After the success of The Fault In Our Stars film, fans will be hungry for new The Fault In Our Stars goodies to sink their teeth into. Now that the movie is heading out of theaters, it will soon be hitting the shelves to be watched (and cried over) in the comfort of people’s homes. But what can The Fault In Our Stars fans expect from the special Blu-Ray and DVD editions of the movie?

According to Hypable, a Blu-Ray purchase of The Fault In Our Stars comes with a lot of exclusive footage that didn’t make the cut into the theatrical release. This includes one of the most famously cut scenes that features a cameo by the author of the original The Fault In Our Stars novel, John Green. He plays the father of a young girl who’s curious about the main character Hazel (played by Shailene Woodley) and her oxygen tubes. Fans who attended “The Night Before Our Stars” event before the release in June have already seen this exclusive footage.

Blu-Ray.com reports that The Fault In Our Stars will be available for home purchase on Blu-Ray and DVD on Tuesday, September 16.

Also, a special extended edition of The Fault In Our Stars is being put together by director Josh Boone. No word yet on how long this version of The Fault In Our Stars yet or what exactly it will feature.

But that’s not all. There are more special edition collectibles for die-hard The Fault In Our Stars fans. Various retailers are releasing in-store-exclusive The Fault In Our Stars merchandise. Target, for example, is selling a version of the film that comes with a fabric banner depicting Hazel and Gus on the iconic Amsterdam bench, which was recently stolen.

Meanwhile, Amazon is selling the “Little Infinities Edition” of The Fault In Our Stars with even more unseen footage. It features six never-before-seen scenes that were cut from The Fault In Our Stars, as well as a featurette called “The Stars Align: Book to screen,” which seems to be about how the filmmakers adapted The Fault In Our Stars movie from a novel. There is no current information about what any of these scenes are or where in the story they take place, but The Inquisitr will keep you posted as details emerge.
