Nina Dobrev, Ian Somerhalder Reveal ‘Super-Cute’ Relationship Details In New Interview

The latest dish on Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder’s dating status is still a bit choppy in terms of their relationship, but the Vampire Diaries co-stars recently revealed some super-cute details about their relationship, according to a new report out by Hollywood Life.

Is Delena back in the saddle after their on and off again — and oh so secret — romance? While they didn’t quite offer a thumbs-up, it appears they are still fond of one another, which makes rumors of a rekindled romance all the more likely.

Nina, who has a penchant for reinventing herself beyond the role as Elena Gilbert in the popular long-running series on the CW, is just what Nylon magazine is looking for in an actress. Its love for Dobrev explains why she graces the cover in the upcoming denim issue in August.

The superstar actress dished about fame, fashion, the red carpet, acting in a comedy series, and — you guessed it — aspects of her relationship with Ian.

Nina Dobrev was asked about her relationship with Ian Somerhalder and to this she said — rather cryptically:

“I don’t like any kind of negativity. I try to be good to everyone, whether it’s a love, a friend, an ex. I’ll always try to treat people the way I want to be treated.”

Hmm, now what does that mean Nina? Apparently she is intent on keeping the peace and not having any regrets about her romances, past, or present.

The mag caught up with Ian, who agreed with her self-views and said:

She always lets me have the last fry.” Now, that qualifies for an unequivocal “aww!”

Days ago, E! Online described Nina’s co-star has her “ex-boyfriend” who appears completely satisfied with her at the moment. However, in a previous report by The Inquisitr, sources said Dobrev and Somerhalder have mended their differences and are reportedly dating again. Hold your horses — the report merely talked about the prevailing rumors floating around. This was undoubtedly good news to fans of the show who went up in arms in 2013 after they called it quits for a time.

Currently, Nina is hard at work on the sixth season of Vampire Diaries. When asked about any spoilers, she said the producers realized she was sitting for an interview and held back giving her a script. Nonetheless, she hopes her character is empowered to move on in her life sans Damon.

“I’d like to see how she copes and deals with things post-Damon and see how she’s going to be able to move on and if she’ll have a normal life. Everything in Elena’s life is complicated,” she said.”

And because the Other Side is no more, things for the show are going to be starkly different and may offer scores of supernatural plot-twists.

The princess of the sexy melodrama offered her take on that element of the show:

“Well, for one, when someone dies they’re dead for good, they can’t come back. They’re dead, they’re gone since there’s no place for them to come back from. So that’s going to be one of the main repercussions of the other side disappearing.”

Dobrev also spoke about her upcoming role in Let’s Be Cops, an area of her acting career that has taken her completely out of her element. She points to her early days in which she was quite comfortable being “normal” and not preoccupied with the latest fashion. Nina prides herself in living an authentic lifestyle — keeping it real, if you will.

But after being so comfortable in the role that jettisoned her to fame, she admits there is some fear about treading roles in comedy.

It’s scary, I’m not going to lie to you. Comedy is probably a lot harder for me. Maybe it’s because I’ve been doing drama for so long or maybe it’s because… you don’t want to search for a laugh, you can’t try to be funny, you just have to naturally be funny or be in a situation that’s funny. It’s is a lot a harder and people aren’t able to laugh on set, either, so when you make a joke, it’s silent and you’re like, ‘did that land?’ I’ve seen the movie and it actually is hilarious, so fingers crossed. I hope everyone likes it.”
