Portal 2 getting first DLC next month
If you need a little incentive to get back into Portal 2 anytime soon, Valve is set to offer incentive in the form of Portal 2‘s first DLC. Originally pegged for a “summer” release, it’s now due out around the middle of September.
Doug Lombardi, marketing director for Valve, revealed as much to Kotaku in a statement earlier today, adding that the release window is “still technically summer,” in case you were bummed out by the prospect of the DLC missing its original release window.
Unfortunately, we still don’t know a great deal about just what the DLC will bring. What we do know is that it’s free on all platforms and includes new test chambers and challenge modes for both singleplayer and multiplayer. Personally, they had me at free.
As ashamed as I am to admit this, I still haven’t had the opportunity to play Portal 2 – I have a backlog like you wouldn’t believe, so I have an excuse. That said, an extra piece of free content might be able to coerce me into bumping Portal 2 up on my to-do list.
