Jenny McCarthy’s Next Career Move After ‘The View’ Exit Revealed

Jenny McCarthy has revealed her next step after she says goodbye after only surviving one season as a co-host on The View.

McCarthy is heading to SiriusXM for her own show. SiriusXM announced that Jenny will “host a live, limited-run, one-hour weekly series exclusively on SiriusXM starting on Wednesday, July 16.”

The series, which will be called Dirty, Sexy, Funny with Jenny McCarthy will be a platform where the mother could discuss parenting, sex, dating, and marriage, which as we know, are areas that she has very strong opinions on.

According to Sirius:

“Guests scheduled to appear include Chelsea Handler, Perez Hilton, Jenny’s fiancé Donnie Wahlberg and many others.”

In a press release Jenny McCarthy expressed her excitement to start the next chapter in her book.

“It’s no secret that I love to talk. I’m excited to do it on SiriusXM without having to interrupt anyone or keep things clean. You can bet your sweet ass this show will live up to its title.”

As we previously reported, prior to leaving The View, the co-host thought she was going to be on the show for another 20 years. Apparently Barbara Walters had other plans. Even though Walters is no longer a co-host, she still helps produce the show.

McCarthy told New You magazine about her hopes for the future at The View before she got the boot. “Believe it or not, I think I’m in still on ‘The View.’ I love the show,” she said.

When they gave Jenny McCarthy the boot ABC stated:

“‘The View’ will be moving in an exciting new direction next season and ABC has made decisions to evolve the show creatively.”

It’s not a big surprise that she was let go from the show. Even though she had joined the show for the current season, McCarthy wasn’t gaining any fans from her strong opinions on vaccines and autism.

It looks like the ex co-host did damage control after news hit that she had been fired. McCarthy’s statement about The View alludes that it was her decision to leave, when other sources pointed out that she was let go from the show.

“After much consideration, I’ve taken a new job that will allow me to do what I do best, which is talk without having to interrupt anyone. I will be announcing it in the next few weeks and I couldn’t be more grateful. Stay tuned, even if it does compete with ‘The View.”

McCarthy’s new gig will air on Wednesday’s at 6 pm EST on July 16. Hopefully this gig works out.
