‘GTA V’ For Xbox One, PS4 And PC Could Be Coming In November
GTA V for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC has been generating a ton of buzz since it was first announced earlier this summer. Now it appears a release date for the next generation GTA V has been leaked.
Gameranx has spotted some information on a Danish retail site that seems to have a legitimate release date. If the leak can be believed, the it appears GTA V for the Xbox One, PS4, and PC will be hitting American store shelves on November 11.
The actual GTA V release date in Europe, according to Coolshop.dk is November 14, which makes sense considering games like GTA V and other big name titles are normally released on Friday.
Here in the States, Tuesday is the normal release date and that would indeed be the 11th in the United States.
GTA V release dates matching up with the right day isn’t the only reason the internet is buying into what Coolshop is touting. The Danish site was also one of the first locations anywhere that was predicting that GTA V would be coming to next gen platforms last year.
It also seems to make sense for Rockstar to release GTA V on November 11. That day is also the release date for several other AAA games and Rockstar would definitely like to win the sales day in the event GTA V was going up against titles like Halo: The Master Chief Collection and The Crew.
GTA V also needs to get a release date that will give it enough time to sell some serious copies before the arrival of Christmas. It should be pointed out that if GTA V does hit shelves on November 11, that is a couple of weeks before Black Friday.
In other words, GTA V would be available just in time for the most frenzied shopping time on the American calendar.
GTA V maker Rockstar has been on a roll since it first released the latest Grand Theft Auto title, even winning this year’s Independence Day with the release of some short-lived GTA V DLC.
There appears to be just one other thing that could make GTA V the undisputed king of the video game world. There appears to be a growing swell of support for GTA V to be released on Mac computers.
So far there isn’t any indication GTA V will actually make the jump. Rockstar hasn’t released a Grand Theft Auto game for Mac since GTA: San Andreas.
Should GTA V also being coming for the Mac this fall, it would be a rather large coup.
