Salma Hayek Talks About Being Mega-Rich, Plastic Surgery
Stunning Mexican actress Salma Hayek says that she doesn’t get people who don’t lavish their kids with all the benefits that come along with being a big name celebrity.
Hayek, 44, wed European billionaire Francois-Henri Pinault last year, and she spoke about their toddler Valentina’s lavish lifestyle in the most recent issue of Allure. (Perrault has a child of the same age conceived with model Linda Evangelista during a “break” in his relationship with Hayek, and the heir splashes out nearly six figures in goodies for the two tots each month.)
The actress says that she sees people who try to instill morals of hard work and appreciating the value of money in their ultra-rich offspring, and she really doesn’t get where they’re coming from, although she sympathizes a little:
“I never understood the point of being privileged if you don’t get to have the privileges… Like, people who won’t take their kids to an expensive restaurant, or won’t travel with them, or make them pay for everything at a really young age. I think it’s important that kids have responsibilities and understand the value of things, but I think it’s great I get to travel the world with my daughter.”
While Hayek lauds the high life as awesome and something she appreciates, she says she’s never indulged in one particular extravagance- cosmetic procedures. She modestly dubs her famous rack “not bad,” and says that she’s never gone in for peels or even microdermabrasion in an attempt to beat back the grim reaper. She cryptically says she’s never had anything done on her “face.”
