Kanye West: Rap Artist Compares Rape To Paparazzi, Actress Stacey Dash Is Not Having It
Rap artist Kanye West has a very, for lack of a better word, “colorful” vocabulary. That said, actress and conservative Stacey Dash isn’t impressed by his latest comments comparing being followed by the paparazzi to rape.
As some of you may know, Kanye West is known for his “wild tangents” at his concerts. In the middle of shows he will often stop to voice his opinions on what’s bothering him that day, and usually it has to do with the media and the paparazzi. During his secret show a year ago, we were on hand to witness West’s epic rants about his guest appearance on Saturday Night Live.
That said, it was West’s most recent appearance at the Wireless Festival in London that is getting him in trouble with one particular actress. According to the New York Daily News, the rapper’s most recent tirade that’s getting attention is as follows:
“I want to bring my family to the movies without 30 motherf**kers following me. Everybody here, they like sex right? Sex is great when you and your partner are like, ‘Hey, this is what we both want to do.’
“But if one of those people don’t want to do that, what is that called? That’s called rape. That is called violation.
“So if I walk around and say, ‘Look, sir, I’m not feeling so good today, I need some space, can you please not f**k with me today?’ I need cut-off space, not violation.'”
Enter Stacey Dash, who had some thoughts about West’s recent comments. Dashk who recently joined Fox as a correspondentk was having none of West’s analogies, in fact, the Clueless star had very harsh words for the rap artist.
“For Kanye to say ‘rape,’ maybe he needs to spend some time on Riker’s Island, y’know, go to Riker’s for a little while. Then he’ll know what rape is.”
At one point Stacey even stuck up for the paparazzi and said:
“I don’t get celebrities not understanding that the paparazzi are doing their job.”
Since her comments went public, Dash has been sharing both negative and positive tweets that she’s received as a direct result from her opinion on Kanye’s speech.
