Impeach Obama? Sarah Palin claims there are 25 reasons to do so, but the unsecured border crisis is the tipping point.
President Obama supposedly has committed at least 25 impeachable offenses, Palin claims, and it’s time for Congress to halt an imperial presidency “that is making an urecognizable mess of our nation at this time.”
Sarah Palin went on Sean Hannity’s FNC show this evening to the discuss the “I” word (see embed below). As The Inquisitr previously reported, Palin authored an op-ed for Breitbart.com that was published this morning explaining her call for the impeachment of the Democrat president.
The former Alaska governor and 2008 GOP vice presidential candidate told Hannity that…
Somebody needs to look out for the working-class Americans, and the tipping point in this drive toward impeachment for me has been the illegal immigration issue, the crisis created by Obama, where nobody is looking out for the working-class of Americans including good, hard-working, wonderful legal immigrants — impeachment is a message that has to be sent to our president that we’re not going to put up with this lawlessness.”
Palin agreed with Hannity that potential impeachable offenses include selective enforcement or non-enforcement of immigration law, using the IRS to target political opponents, abandoning work requirements for welfare recipients, and unilaterally changing the Obamacare law. Palin added that Obama has committed fraud on the American people by running up trillions in debt through government spending programs.
The president has so far held to the position that he won’t leave his big-ticket Texas fundraisers to visit the borderlands personally, but apparently will take a meeting elsewhere in the state with Gov. Rick Perry about the surge of illegal immigrants at the southern border. Without making a personal inspection, Obama could nonetheless still send the National Guard to back up the stretched-thin Border Patrol and restore order in the Rio Grande Valley area.

In her opinion piece, Sarah Palin wrote in part that…
Without borders, there is no nation. Obama knows this. Opening our borders to a flood of illegal immigrants is deliberate. This is his fundamental transformation of America. It’s the only promise he has kept. Discrediting the price paid for America’s exceptionalism over our history, he’s given false hope and taxpayer’s change to millions of foreign nationals who want to sneak into our country illegally. Because of Obama’s purposeful dereliction of duty an untold number of illegal immigrants will kick off their shoes and come on in, competing against Americans for our jobs and limited public services. There is no end in sight as our president prioritizes parties over doing the job he was hired by voters to do. Securing our borders is obviously fundamental here; it goes without saying that it is his job…

The federal government is trillions of dollars in debt; many cities are on the verge of insolvency; our overrun healthcare system, police forces, social services, schools, and our unsustainably generous welfare-state programs are stretched to the max. We average Americans know that… His friendly wealthy bipartisan elite, who want cheap foreign labor and can afford for themselves the best ‘border security’ money can buy in their own exclusive communities, do not care that Obama tapped us out… It’s the American worker who is forced to deal with Obama’s latest crisis with our hard-earned tax dollars while middle class wages decrease, sustainable jobs get more scarce, and communities become unrecognizable and bankrupted due to Obama’s flood of illegal immigration…It’s time to impeach; and on behalf of American workers and legal immigrants of all backgrounds, we should vehemently oppose any politician on the left or right who would hesitate in voting for articles of impeachment. The many impeachable offenses of Barack Obama can no longer be ignored. If after all this he’s not impeachable, then no one is.”
Perhaps the New York version of Mama Grizzly, FNC host Judge Jeanine Pirro, has previously called for Obama’s impeachment for the Bowe Bergdahl prisoner swap (remember that? It seems a million years ago) and for the Benghazi terrorist attack and alleged administration coverup of the terrorist murder of the four Americans there.
As a practical matter, even if articles of impeachment passed the GOP-controlled House, nothing would happen in the Senate as long as that body is controlled by the Democrats. Moreover, does anyone really want Joe Biden moving into the Oval Office?
During her discussion with Hannity, Palin once again called out Republicans for so far lacking the backbone to protect the Constitution and for their reluctance to use one the constitutional tool they have at their disposal to rein in what she deemed Obama’s lawlessness in bypassing Congress time and again in making laws as he goes along. As an example of the timid GOP leadership’s unwillingness to go rogue, she noted that when U.S. Senators Ted Cruz, Mike Lee, and other conservatives tried to defund Obamacare, their fellow Republicans threw them under the bus “and the view isn’t very good under the bus.”
Speaking of “the view,” Palin previously floated the idea of joining The View as one of the new co-hosts, but her call to impeach Obama probably is not a resume enhancer for that show given its liberal leanings.
