Austin Mahone Not Dating Camila Cabello

Austin Mahone fans — or “Mahomies,” rather — if you ever dreamed of locking lips with the singer the way one fan did, then we’ve got some good news.

While Mahone recently said that he had a thing for Fifth Harmony singer Camila Cabello, he continues to deny that they’re a couple.

According to a recent report from SugarScape, Mahone said: “We’re just friends. Yeah, it’s pretty funny though. I remember we were hanging out and we took a picture. We were like, ‘Let’s just post this and watch everyone freak out.’ It was pretty funny watching all the comments roll in.”

But don’t get too carried away, Mahomies, because we’ve got a feeling that Austin would be all in if Cabello was, too.

However, maybe we’re getting ahead of ourselves. Talking to Pop Crush, Austin Mahone named his dream date and Cabello wasn’t it.

In the report, Austin said he was crushing on Little Mix’s Leigh-Anne Pinnock.

“Yeah, I fancy her,” Mahone admitted recently. “Does that mean I like her? Yeah, I like her.”

Unfortunately for him, Pinnock has a boyfriend, but that didn’t stop the inquiries as to whether he would take her on a date in the UK.

“I don’t know any cool places, but I’ll find a nice restaurant,” he said, fantasizing. “Maybe I’ll have a little thing set up in the London Eye and have them stop at the very top and have a nice dinner at the top of the London Eye.”

The pair even kind of have a neat meet-cute story.

“I actually needed lotion! I was practicing my backflip and I kept falling on the grass and the grass was making me itch like crazy,” he said. “And there was no girls around, but Little Mix were next door. Four girls — they have to have lotion. So they helped me out.”

So if you do want to date Austin Mahone, what’s he looking for? His must-have qualities:

“First, Austin likes to be the taller one in the relationship. He told M Magazine, “[I like] someone who’s shorter than me.” At a fairly average height of 5’10?, Mahone hasn’t limited the pool much. But he also claimed to prefer girls who are “cool,” or girls who aren’t afraid to be themselves, and girls who enjoy traveling. “Someone who likes to travel [is important] because I do a lot of traveling,” said Austin. “Someone who likes to wake up at 3am [is crucial] because I do a lot of that, too.” In terms of looks, Austin likes a girl with a nice smile and silky, smooth hair, regardless of length or style.”
