LG G3: Late Yet Awesome
LG has a propensity for releasing phones late, however, this time, they brought their A game, or their G game, with their G3 flagship model slated for release later this month. The late release is a risky move due to the popularity of the Samsung Galaxy S5 and Sony Xperia Z2. The budgets of early adopters may have already been spent on the previous releases.
However, the extra time has proven valuable to LG’s engineers as they have more time to perfect the hardware and offer software features that are not currently found in other top flagship phones such as the Samsung S5. The LG G3 offers more screen, less bezel and plenty of resolution with the QHD display. The camera boasts a laser autofocus which may give the LG G3 enough punch to enter the game late.

LG led with its best foot forward with the LG G3, which easily makes it the most robust phone release to date for LG after lagging in the smartphone department compared to Samsung, Apple and HTC. The LG G3 offers expandable storage and a battery which users can access; a first for such basic features. However, there is one omission which we wanted to see on the LG G3; dust and water resistance. The newest smartphones by Sony and Samsung both have at least some level of dust and water resistance.
The LG G3 is by far the sexiest of all LG smartphone releases. The design team at LG did a great job keeping the bezels to a minimum, especially because, as a 5.5 inch device, it is not much bigger than the G2, which was an okay phone.
However, LG has teased the optimized version of their smartphone lineup, the G Pro series, which will offer one handed operation. The first of the G Pro series will also be a 5.5 inch screen so we don’t expect usability on a big screen will be an issue.
LG has been lack-luster in the smart phone arena until now. The LG G3 is an amazing phone that is very easy to use and has looks that could kill. We highly encourage our readers to consider the LG G3 for your next smart phone.
