Dancing Pit Bull Struts His Stuff And Wins Hearts
When people think of pit bulls, it would likely be a safe bet that most do not think of dancing pit bulls or even playful pit bulls. But as the video above shows, the animals can be friendly and apparently trained to do adorable dances.
According to Yahoo! News, the video above “raises the bar.”
“We’ve all seen a dog or two in our lives sit, shake, or roll over. They’re adorable and often-difficult tricks to teach to a pup. Then we see a video like “Dancing Pit Bull,” and it kind of raises the bar for amazing canine abilities.
“In the video, posted to YouTube two days ago, the dog and its human, a belly dancer, perform a routine that defies belief in its intricacy, at least as far as dog dancing is concerned.”
Yahoo! said not much was known about the pit bull and its belly dancing partner and the video’s YouTube post did not provide a description. But the dynamic duo are getting all sorts of attention from the nearly two-minute routine.
So far, the video is been viewed a total of 647,819 times, and people are commenting left and right on the YouTube page itself and on other websites where the video has been lighting up the internet.
YouTube user Toni M. Toro wrote, “sweetest thing I have seen I had a Pitt Bull 4…16yrs she was so sweet…love this clip!!!”
Another user, halycyon1234, addressed the reputation pit bulls have developed over the years, writing, “Proof it’s the owner not the dog. It shows other outcomes are possible other than mauling stories.”
User Lulu wrote the following about pit bulls:
“Pitbulls are not only some of the most loving animals I’ve met, but the most resilient and forgiving. I spend a lot of time at a no-kill rescue that takes in severely abused dogs off of euthanasia lines, and I’ve seen more pitbulls come back from a history of abuse than I have labs. Yeah, some of them snap, but wouldn’t you if you were chained, beaten, and tortured for your early and most formative years? That being said, working with these damaged and abused dogs, the only one to ever bite me has been a- wait for it- lab mix. Additionally, it shouldn’t really be any surprise that statistically pit bulls are more aggressive, because statistically they’re more abused. People don’t go to labs and goldens for fighting dogs, they go to pitties.”
We’re not sure if this dancing pit bull was a shelter dog or not, but we have a feeling there’s no chance of the pit bull going back to the shelter, unlike Misty “the farting pitbull.”
