Angelina Jolie And Brad Pitt Return To Malta For Joint Film Project
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have been in the news consistently for decades. The couple are engaged and has six children. In an effort to make sure one of them is always available for the family, Pitt and Jolie try to avoid working on movies at the same time. As a result, the A-list couple have not worked together since 2005 when they fell in love on the set of the action-comedy, Mr. and Mrs. Smith.
Now, Jolie and Pitt have decided to work together after all.
According to People, Jolie wrote a script that was meant for her and her husband.
“I wrote something a few years ago for Brad and me. Just for fun. Just an independent little art piece,” she said. “It’s the kind of movie we love but aren’t often cast in. It’s a very experimental, independent-type film where we get to be actors together and be really raw, open, try things.”
The project is meant to be a love story and there is speculation that the untitled Jolie-Pitt movie is based on the story Angelina Jolie wrote.
There may not be confirmation on the script, but it is known where the movie will be filming.
Brad Pitt first brought his family to Malta in 2011 while he was filming World War Z. Whatever they experienced there must have left an impression, because that’s where Pitt and Jolie are looking to shoot their joint film.
“I’m happy that Hollywood producers have once again chosen Malta for their project and we will be delighted to host Mr. Pitt, Ms. Jolie and their family for the second time in three years,” Prime Minister Joseph Muscat says. “I’m sure that this film will help put our beautiful sister island of Gozo on the world map.”
The couple will be filming in Mgarr ix-Xini Bay in Gozo for approximately 8 weeks. The beach is secluded and surrounded by high rocks. The quality of the clear water is perfect for underwater photography.
Preparations for use of the area have already begun and the Jolie-Pitt family were recently spotted in the area.
Before then, Brad Pitt will be playing “Wardaddy” in Fury, a World War II movie that’s due out in November. He will be acting alongside Shia LaBeouf, Scott Eastwood, and Michael Pena.
Angelina Jolie will be working on her second major directing project, a biopic on Louis Zamperini. The film, called Unbroken, is set to reach theaters on Christmas day.
