Bikers Block Mexico’s Borders, Claim Obama Is Doing Nothing To Help U.S. Marine Andrew Tahmooressi [Video]
Bikers are riding out to Mexico’s borders in order to block all traffic in an attempt to bring more media attention to the situation faced by U.S. Marine Andrew Tahmooressi, who was arrested and charged with illegal weapons trafficking when he allegedly accidentally crossed the border while carrying guns in his truck. Supporters claim that the man must have missed a U-turn because of poor signage and did not intend to cross the border.
In a related report by The Inquisitr, a man named John Harrington of Shield Tactical is said to be leading the bikers protesting against Mexico. He claims that President Obama should be doing more about the situation based upon the president releasing five Taliban prisoners in exchange for one POW:
“Obama said he doesn’t leave anyone behind. He doesn’t leave traitors behind. [But Obama] left four behind in Benghazi and he’s leaving our man behind here.”
Critics claim the Obama administration had ample opportunity to push for freeing Tahmooressi in comparison to the so-called deserter Bowe Bergdahl, but is willing to let Tahmooressi sit in jail. Reports say that when a recent meeting between Obama and Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto occurred, the President supposedly did not bring up the Tahmooressi case, which has already been botched by two assigned attorneys who failed to submit any evidence for the Mexican courts to review.
On June 30, Jill Tahmooressi, mother of the detained U.S. Marine, sent a letter to U.S. Ambassador to Mexico E. Anthony Wayne requesting an expedited review of the case and any help in getting her son released earlier:
“If any consideration can be made to expedite the reviews before the federal judge so that he will be closer to probable freedom, those actions would be much appreciated.”
Rep. Duncan Hunter, a former Marine who has championed Tahmooressi’s cause, has compared the case against the incident where a Mexican law enforcement helicopter crossed the U.S. border and opened fire:
“It’s ironic that Mexico says it acted accidentally in this case, and they ask we accept an apology, when they refuse to acknowledge an authentic mistake on Andrew’s part. There are mistakes and there are excuses. Andrew’s actions were the result of wrong turn, a simple mistake. Mexico is just making an excuse and no different than the border incursion that are too regular, U.S. officials should approach this incident with absolute seriousness.”
Because politicians seem to be of no help, John Harrington says his bikers will be shutting down Mexico’s border completely in order to prevent any commerce:
“This event will be family oriented & patriotic, and although our terms to #freetahmooressi are non-negotiable, there is a 100% expectation that it will be peaceful. The ultimate goal is to inspire so many people to attend the event on Cinco De Julio event, that every freeway entrance into Mexico will be completely shut down. This is not intended to hurt the Mexican people unless they intend to keep our U.S. Marine, but it is to remind the Mexico authorities that We The People are directly responsible for millions of dollars PER HOUR which flows over the U.S. / Mexico border. We The People have the power to stop their prosperity in it’s tracks if they refuse to return our U.S. Marine. Once we #FreeTahmooressi on Cinco De Julio, we can then celebrate on both sides of the border! The main stream media can take all the pictures and video they wish, and we hope they also document politicians on both sides hiding in their bunkers.”
According to the bikers their protest in favor of U.S. Marine Andrew Tahmooressi is scheduled to occur today, July 5, 2014.
Do you think the Obama administration should intervene in this case?
