Harrison Ford’s Injury Healing Quickly, Han Solo Looks Forward To Returning To ‘Star Wars 7’ Set
The Force is strong with Harrison Ford, whose injury is healing up quickly, and the Han Solo of the future is already thinking about returning to the set of Star Wars: Episode 7.
In a related report by The Inquisitr, at one point fans were horrified when rumors claimed that Ford may be written out of SW7 script in order to keep the film on schedule for its 2015 release date. But sorrow turned to laughter even Ford made fun of his injury by wearing a peg leg while out and about.
The reason that Ford’s injury was such a big deal was because Han Solo is pretty much the main character of Episode 7. It’s rumored that Han is leading a galaxy-wide search party for Luke Skywalker, who is supposedly being hunted by Sith witches employing the services of Mandalorian bounty hunters, perhaps even including Boba Fett. Since another Star Wars 7 leak indicated that the Han Solo movie would simply be called Solo, the logical conclusion seemed to be that Han Solo may be killed as part of the SW7 plot, which would fulfill a wish by Ford:
“I thought Han Solo should die. I thought he ought to sacrifice himself for [Luke and Leia]. He’s got no mama. He’s got no papa. He’s got no future. He has no story responsibilities at this point. So let’s allow him to commit self-sacrifice.”
Well, Harrison Ford is not quite off the hook yet. His personal trainer Jake Steinfeld revealed that the actor should be soon ready to reprise his role as Han Solo:
“He’s getting in shape now. He’s feeling great and he’s rehabbing it. He and I have been friends for a long time, over 30 years, and he is in great shape. He is going to get back even better than he was, and I’ve been monitoring it with him. He’s feeling great and is in great spirits. It’s not that bad. He’s coming back and is going to be better than ever. He’s 70 going on 27.”
A recent statement from Ford’s representatives reveals his attitude toward his injury:
“His surgery was successful and he will begin rehab shortly. He’s doing well and looks forward to returning to work.”
While the filming schedule had to be juggled due to Harrison Ford’s injury, Disney maintains that the Star Wars 7 release date will still be December of 2015. Meanwhile, we can enjoy some memes inspired by the accident:
