David Arquette Proposes To Fiance On The Heels Of Ex Courteney Cox’s Engagement
David Arquette is off the market. Funny enough, his proposal to on-again-off-again girlfriend Christina McLarty comes just days after his ex-wife Courteney Cox announced her engagement. Before you assume that this is just a knee jerk reaction, David and Christina have been together since 2011.
Arquette and McLarty welcomed their son Charlie West just two months ago as well. This was the second child for David, who shares a 10-year-old daughter, Coco with ex Courteney Cox. In fact, E! is reporting that Coco was present for the engagement and witnessed Arquette get down on one knee.
A source told PEOPLE about the engagement, which happened at Mastro’s Ocean Club in Malibu, “He wanted his family to be with him when he did it. They are going to vacation in Aspen to celebrate.”
As we previously reported Cox got engaged to Johnny McDaid, who plays the piano, guitar and is the back up vocals for the band Snow Patrol. The actress announced her engagement to the rocker via her personal Twitter account.

Cox’s fiance posted the same photo on his Twitter account with a matching message.
As for David Arquette and his fiance Christina McLarty’s engagement, sources told E!that everyone really gets along. “Courteney is really happy for them. They all get along well and are friends.”
Arquette also really digs Johnny McDaid. Back in February David was on The Wendy Williams Show, and he admitted that he didn’t know whether or not Courteney was talking marriage with the Snow Patrol rocker, but regardless Arquette approved of him.
“We’ve gone out to dinner a few times. My whole thing is that, he’s a great man and to have someone kind, that you trust around your kid is the most important part. She’s an amazing mother and a dear friend. We are great co-parenters together.”
As for Coco she seems to have a nice sense of humor which could have come from either parent. While on The Wendy Williams Show Arquette said that Coco was excited for her little brother Charlie.
She was like, ‘I’m going to be fine with it as long as he worships me,'” he recalled his daughter telling him. “She actually said that.”
As for Arquette’s fourth of July plans, a source told PEOPLE that the actor will have a party at the same spot where he proposed to Christina McLarty.
