Suzanne Somers Recruited To Join ‘Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills’ By Producer Andy Cohen Himself
Suzanne Somers has an offer to join the cast of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and the invitation is reportedly coming directly from the show’s executive producer himself.
For several days there have been rumors that the former Three’s Company star could be joining the hit Bravo reality show, but this week those reports got some new backing.
Life & Style Magazine is reporting that the show’s producer, Andy Cohen, is making a personal pitch for Suzanne Somers to join the cast. Cohen reportedly thinks that Somers would be a great fit with the other women on the show, and could even provide some tension with returning star Lisa Vanderpump.
Lisa recently confirmed that she will indeed be back for the upcoming season, but has already been providing some off-season drama. Vanderpump was recently ordered to pay a former employee $100,000 in a sexual harassment lawsuit centered on her restaurant, Villa Blanca.
It’s not likely that Lisa’s legal problems will make it to air, but if Suzanne Somers were to come on board The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, the show would have its fill of excitement.
Celeb Dirty Laundry, which has been following the Suzanne Somers rumors, reports:
“While Somers hasn’t inked a deal with Bravo just yet she is set to be really excited by the possibility of doing so. It would breathe new life into her long running career and stir the pot with the other housewives. While the ladies all prance around in their expensive clothes and give off an air of self importance Somers is kind of the real deal. She is the household name and has been for decades so bringing her onto the show would likely cause quite a bit of jealousy — which would be great for ratings.”
Officially, Suzanne Somers says she is not in talks to join The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. She actually went on Access Hollywood earlier this month to say she was not too interested in joining the drama-filled reality show.
“That’s not my nature. I don’t fight,” she said.
So until there is any kind of official announcement, it appears the rumor that Suzanne Somers will join The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills will remain just that — a rumor.
