Blue Ivy Debuts New Hairstyle On Tour With Jay Z And Beyonce
Blue Ivy has debuted a cute new hair style, as parents Jay Z and Beyonce apparently took some parenting advice to heart and did their toddler’s hair.
The new hairstyle showed up during the summer tour for Jay Z and Beyonce.
The urban news site MediaTakeOut noticed the new ‘do for Blue Ivy, noting:
“There were a lot of folks talking CRAZY about this little girls hair. Well Bey and em decided to FINALLY do something about it… they gave her a very CUTE and original style.”
The site wasn’t joking about the attention for Blue Ivy’s hair. Earlier this month a concerned fan started a petition on Change.org claiming that Jay Z and Beyonce were being neglectful by letting their toddler grow out her hair naturally.
The petition read:
“As a woman who understands the importance of hair care. It’s disturbing to watch a child suffering from the lack of hair moisture. The parents of Blue Ivy. Sean Carter A.K.A Jay-Z and Beyoncé has failed at numerous attempts of doing Blue Ivy Hair. This matter has escalated to the child developing matted dreads and lint balls. Please let’s get the word out to properly care for Blue Ivy hair.”
Amazingly, the petition to comb Blue Ivy’s hair gained more than 5,000 signatures, though it’s not clear how many were serious.
At least some people seemed to take the matter to heart, including one person who wrote: “I hate when a mother looks like a million dollars with their hair all done and the child looks like they haven’t seen a comb since they were born.”
Another wrote: “Blue Ivy’s father, Jay-Z likes to brag about his ‘charmed’ life, while his wife is dripping in expensive weaves, jewelry, and designer gowns. Beyonce’s mother was a hair salon owner. Please comb, that clown’s, er baby’s hair.”
Blue Ivy Carter has been pretty active during her parents’ “On The Run” tour. MTV captured a recent rehearsal video in which the little girl watched as her parents performed, then told them “Good job!”
