DJ Calvin Harris has been stirring up lots of rumors lately about his love life, leaving people wondering which girl he might be romantically involved with. The Inquisitr reported in the past about Calvin’s messy breakup with Rita Ora after cheating allegations and betrayal. Now it seems some people are convinced Ellie Goulding and Calvin Harris are seeing each other on the side. After all, Harris and Goulding have been collaborating together in the studio, so something other than a professional friendship is likely to emerge, right? It’s time to set the record about the Calvin Harris rumors straight.
According to PerezHilton.com, Ellie Goulding is not involved with Calvin Harris. At least that’s what her recently photographed night out on the town seems to suggest. Goulding was seen holding hands with her supposed boyfriend Dougie Poynter, a musician from pop band McFly. The two were photographed at the Chiltern Firehouse, a place Lindsay Lohan frequents. Case in point, Ellie was not on the arm of Calvin Harris. PerezHilton.com seems to think this is a rather loud and proud display of who Goulding is really dating, and Calvin is nowhere in the picture.
It was a spotting of Calvin Harris in the same photo as Ellie Goulding that started these rumors. Photos were taken of Ellie Goulding leaving a car with Calvin Harris casually in the background. Calvin and Ellie spent all night partying together at the Mahiki Nightclub until three in the morning, according to Yahoo! Celebrity. The assumption was that when Calvin Harris wasn’t making music with her, he was meeting Goulding secretly for late night romps.
If that isn’t enough to quell rumors about Goulding and Harris, consider Dougie Poynter’s words about his girlfriend in the ITV2 documentary Fearne Meets McBusted. According to Mirror.co.uk, in the film, Poynter confirmed that he and Ellie Goulding are an item, which means Calvin Harris is not involved. “Yeah. All is good in that area,” he said, referring to his love life, presumably.
