Duck Dynasty’s Phil Robertson Wants President Obama’s ‘Ungodly Bunch’ Out Of The White House
Duck Dynasty’s controversial cast member Phil Robertson isn’t a huge fan of President Obama, but considering his political beliefs and comments he’s made in the past this shouldn’t really come as a surprise.
While the Duck Dynasty star was at the Rock the South festival, he made sure to clear the air and tell festival goers what he thinks about a myriad of subjects, including what he thinks about homosexuals, president Barack Obama in the White House, and his own bad rep.
During a Q&A Robertson kept up with his homophobic comments. Robertson told the people that he’s “Trying to help those poor souls and turn them to Jesus.” In turn the Duck Dynasty star told the people of Cullman, Alabama, “I’m actually a nice man.”
During the event Robertson also gave Alabama encouragement to boot the current administration out of Washington.
“Hey, Alabama, whatever you do, register to vote for this presidential election. Go vote for the House and Senate, too. Vote this ungodly bunch out of Washington, D.C..”
For those who aren’t familiar with Robertson’s December GQ profile piece, Robertson said homosexuality was a sin and compared it to bestiality.
At the time Robertson said:
“It seems like, to me, a vagina — as a man — would be more desirable than a man’s anus. “That’s just me. I’m just thinking: There’s more there! She’s got more to offer. I mean, come on, dudes! You know what I’m saying? But hey, sin: It’s not logical, my man. It’s just not logical.”
The Duck Dynasty star continued to air out his beliefs:
“Start with homosexual behavior and just morph out from there. Bestiality, sleeping around with this woman and that woman and that woman and those men. Don’t be deceived. Neither the adulterers, the idolaters, the male prostitutes, the homosexual offenders, the greedy, the drunkards, the slanderers, the swindlers — they won’t inherit the kingdom of God.”
After the profile piece ran and stirred up a ton of controversy, including condemnation from GLAAD and Human Rights Campaign, A&E decided to temporarily suspend him from the popular show and issued a statement to Entertainment Weekly.
“We are extremely disappointed to have read Phil Robertson’s comments in GQ, which are based on his own personal beliefs and are not reflected in the series Duck Dynasty. His personal views in no way reflect those of A+E Networks, who have always been strong supporters and champions of the LGBT community. The network has placed Phil under hiatus from filming indefinitely.”
