Teresa Giudice News: Joe And Teresa’s Sentencing Moved After Joe’s Father Dies
Joe and Teresa Giudice were just two weeks away from their July 8 sentencing, but their trial has been moved to September following the death of Joe’s father, Frank Giudice. According to The New York Daily News, Teresa’s lawyer, Henry Klingeman, confirmed that the couple’s hearing has been delayed until Sept. 23. Both of them face jail time for several federal fraud charges. Their plea deal will likely see Teresa off the hook (perhaps with fines and probation) and Joe behind bars.
Joe and Teresa said their final goodbyes to Joe’s father, Frank Giudice, at a funeral service in New Jersey on Monday. According to Radar Online, family and friends gathered at St. James of the Marches for the mass followed by the burial at a nearby cemetery. Teresa’s brother, Joe Gorga, and his wife, Melissa, were in attendance as was Teresa’s cousin Kathy Wakile. Other Real Housewives Of New Jersey cast members (and “friends” of Teresa) were rather spotty.
A source said:
“Dina Manzo came with a friend and didn’t stay long.”
Former Housewives Caroline Manzo and Jacqueline Laurita did not attend the wake or the funeral. New Housewives Nicole Mauriello and Teresa Aprea attended the wake, but they didn’t stay long.
Joe and Teresa Giudice are having a very hard time with Frank’s sudden death. As previously reported by The Inquisitr, Frank was working in Joe and Teresa’s backyard when he dropped to the ground. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His exact cause of death has not been revealed, but is believed that he suffered a massive heart attack.
Obviously, this has devastated the Giudice family. They were all very close and spent a lot of time together as many families do. The loss of their patriarch has shaken them to the core, and it’s not an easy thing to deal with by any means.
The source added:
“It was very sad and heartbreaking. Joe was very quiet. His siblings, Pete and Maria, are taking it very hard.”
Joe did not speak at his father’s services. His sister, Maria, gave a eulogy at the cemetery while his oldest daughter, Gia, spoke at her grandfather’s service as well. The 13-year-old has been having a very hard time dealing with the loss.

Dealing with death is never easy. Frank Giudice had 11 granddaughters. He was very loved and respected, and he will be greatly missed by those who knew him best.
