Trouble just blew into town and it’s a much anticipated duo: one that includes Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood. The two have been country music BFFs for quite some time, but have not recorded a song together-until now.
In the video above, fans of the country music power duo can watch some behind the scenes action of Miranda and Carrie recording in the studio together. The two seem more like sisters, than best friends, and they certainly know how to have a good time and challenge each other.
In fact, Miranda recently told People magazine :
When she [Carrie Underwood] came in the studio I was writing to [husband] Blake , ‘I’m in over my head, I don’t know what I’ve done! When you respect someone like that you get so nervous. To hit the notes she hits, I would have to take off running and jump as high as I could.
That’s certainly one way to keep tabs on your competition in the music industry; if you can’t beat them, join them!
This single was recorded for the new Miranda Lambert album Platinum which is having an impressive run on Billboard and other industry charts. Miranda made history with Platinum when she became the first female country music artist to have every single one of her albums debut in the number one spot on the Billboard charts.
Miranda Lambert is currently gearing up for a 29-city tour , covering the entire continent of North America. Her first show will be in Fort Loramie, Oklahoma on July 10th with the last show scheduled for Honolulu, Hawaii on September 20th. Various artists will open for her while on tour, including former contestant on NBC’s The Voice, RaeLynn and The Swon Bothers. Other opening acts will be Justin Moore, Jukebox Mafia, and Thomas Rhett.
Carrie Underwood has also been keeping busy, but on a different front. She has recently set sail for Haiti on a philanthropic mission. Recently, Underwood decided to lend her voice and celebrity to the non-profit known as Danita’s Children . The non-profit focuses on providing orphaned and under-privileged children with a brighter future. Carrie will assist the group at their medical center located in Haiti. The singer is traveling with a group of her friends and other volunteers to the poverty-stricken nation of Haiti. In a photo recently tweeted by a member of the group, Carrie Underwood appears with a group of her fellow volunteers with the caption, “The girls of the trip getting ready to cross the D.R. (Dominican Republic)/Haiti boarder this morning. Excited for our first day. So proud of everyone and how much we were able to accomplish.”
