Michael Douglas And Catherine Zeta-Jones Spotted In Israel For Son’s Bar Mitzvah
Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones are not just happy with a posh Los Angeles party. The Hollywood mega stars were spotted in Jerusalem this morning for the Bar Mitzvah of their son, Dylan Michael Douglas. Israeli papers are camped outside the posh King David Hotel where Douglas and Zeta-Jones are reportedly staying in the Presidential Suite.
Paparazzi also followed the couple around downtown Jerusalem and the Old City where they were going site seeing. They went to go see the famous Temple Mount Tunnels and The Western Wall. Michael Douglas was born Jewish and it has been widely reported that Catherine Zeta-Jones was considering converting to Judaism.
Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones had originally thrown Dylan a Bar Mitzvah party in New York with all his friends and family but it was not without a bit of catastrophe. Michael Douglas reportedly suffered a groin injury as he was lifted up on a chair above the guests heads which is customary at Bar Mitzvah celebrations.
Speaking to the New York Post, Michael Douglas said about the incident:
“I’m hurting, I don’t know whether it’s my groin or a hernia. I got carried away at my son’s bar mitzvah this weekend. You know they put you up in the chairs over the top — I think something happened there.”
Michael Douglas has been trying to keep a bit of a low profile since he was publicly ridiculed for saying that his oral cancer was caused by going down on Zeta-Jones too often. He basically said that because women can be carriers of the HPV virus, which is known to cause certain types of cancer in women, could the virus have been transferred into his mouth? While we are sure that it isn’t true, his admission lead the blogging world to openly wonder, “If it is true that he contracted oral cancer from going down on Catherine Zeta-Jones, was it worth it?”
