Robert Downey Jr. Faces ‘The Judge’ First Trailer [Video]

Robert Downey Jr. is back in a brand new movie titled The Judge. The Judge stars Robert Downey Jr. and Robert Duvall as Downey’s father in the film.

In The Judge, Downey plays a slick defense attorney named Hank Palmer who heads home when his mom dies. However, he ends up sticking around to defend his dad, small town judge Joseph Palmer (Duvall), in a murder case. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly Downey said:

“His father is a pillar of the community. Everybody knows a dad like the judge. Every community has one, and every family has either heard of or been under that kind of patriarchy. Its this very American story. But its also a story about family, and reconciliation, and law, and justice.”

Its nice to see Robert Downey Jr. branching out of the Iron Man films for a bit and flexing his acting muscles. For now enjoy the new trailer for The Judge:
