Megan Fox doesn’t have her heart set on achieving Hollywood stardom these days.
Although the actress appeared in a handful of box office hits, Fox’s star started to sag around the middle after she famously feuded with Michael Bay. After a handful of less-than-stellar movies, Megan will return to the world of big-budget Hollywood franchises with director Jonathan Liebesman’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles .
According to Page Six , Megan Fox just isn’t too concerned about appearing in a ton of popular motion pictures anymore. Apparently everything started change for the actress after she had her first kid . Once Fox discovered the joys of motherhood, everything else seemed to fade into the background.
Megan Fox told Parents magazine:
“I’ve never been an extraordinarily ambitious girl or career-oriented, but especially once I got pregnant with my first son and now [having] my second, it’s so hard to be a working mom especially when your heart is not in your work, when your heart is with your family. I have to make one movie a year because I have to invest in their future and I have to be able to pay their way through college and be able to provide for them. I’m looking for movies that will shoot in Los Angeles, for projects where I’m part of an ensemble so I can shoot in and out in 10-20 days. It’s all about trying to spend as little time away from my kids as possible.”
SheKnows points out that Megan Fox didn’t realize how much time and effort she’d have to devote to raising her children. The actress said her whole world suddenly revolved around taking care of her baby, a situation that became a bit more complicated once her second child came into the world.
Fox told the publication:
“I have to figure out how to incorporate Noah into the process and have him help me take care of Bodhi and make sure he doesn’t get jealous and make sure nobody’s neglected and everybody’s needs are being met. As a mom, it’s hard because I don’t feel like I’m ever giving either one of them 100 percent of my attention or 100 percent of myself, so I carry a lot of guilt.”
Megan Fox fans who have waited patiently for the actress to star into another glossy Hollywood flick can catch her as reporter April O’Neil in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles later this year. The flick hits the big screen across the U.S. on August 8.
