Lindsay Lohan Heads To The Stage In London
Lindsay Lohan is taking her talents to a London stage later this year.
Since the Mean Girls star’s cinematic opportunities aren’t nearly as robust as they were during her heyday, apparently Lohan is shifting gears a bit. Although casting the troubled actress in a play might sound like a terrible idea, Lohan has reportedly accepted a role in an upcoming stage production of Speed-the-Plow.
According to the New York Times, Lindsay Lohan is spending most of her time in London these days. Instead of wasting time at numerous fashion events or dancing her sorrows away in nightclubs, Lohan is putting all her energy into a West End revival of David Mamet’s aforementioned play. Performances are reportedly set to begin this November.

“It’s the first time I’ve done a stage play or anything like that. I’m nervous but I’m excited,” Lindsay recently told the publication.
BookRags explains that Mamet’s tale “focuses on the ruthless nature of Hollywood and the movie industry.” The play debuted at the Royale Theater back in 1988, where it received mostly favorable reviews. During its initial run, the role of Karen was tackled by controversial pop star Madonna. There’s a chance Lindsay Lohan will end up portraying this character during the upcoming West End revival.
Speed-the-Plow isn’t the only project on Lindsay Lohan’s plate these days. According to the Daily Mail, the actress recently signed on to co-star in director Darwin Brooks’ Six Gun Dead. The $2 million horror flick, which also features Mark Boone Junior and James Duval, should begin filming in California at some point this summer.
Here’s what the movie is all about:
“While a prisoner is being held over night in a heavily guarded Tombstone jail house, hordes of the undead attack the small Arizona town.”
Lohan has certainly had a rough go of it over the past few years. However, Lindsay can rest easy knowing that she has the support of Orange is the New Black actor Jason Biggs. When Joan Rivers asked the American Pie album to choose between Lohan and Tara Reid during the “Live or Die” segment of her web series In Bed With Joan, Biggs decided to keep Lohan around. Of course, his reasons are bit self-serving.
The actor explained:
“Well, she’s got nice boobs, she really does. Lindsay’s got nice boobs,. Tara’s body — I don’t know what’s going on with it. I don’t think she ever knows what’s going on with it. Lindsay doesn’t know what’s going on with Tara’s body either. No one knows what’s going on with Tara’s body.”
At least Lindsay Lohan knows that perhaps one person will show up for the West End revival of Show-the-Plow, even if it’s simply to stare at her chest.
