The official English subtitled trailer for Sailor Moon Crystal was released on Thursday, and many fans of the original anime are looking forward to it!

In a related report by The Inquisitr , the original Sailor Moon series is now available on Hulu, and the episodes are uncut and unedited, unlike the version shown on American television back in the 90s. Also, the classic anime has a fan in famous actress, Megan Fox , who would love to see a real-life version of the anime be made, similar to how Disney is doing the same thing for their animated classics, starting with Sleeping Beauty through Malificent and eventually, Cinderella .

The English subtitled trailer was released by Viz Media along with a description of what Sailor Moon Crystal is all about. The new series is not a sequel to the original in the 90s, but a retelling of Sailor Moon as based by the legendary manga series by Naoko Takeuchi. They even said that American fans can watch the show the same exact time as Japan through Neon Alley and Hulu, in which the latter is the same streaming service responsible for bringing back the original Sailor Moon series unedited.

Despite the excitement fans are feeling for the upcoming rebooted series, Sailor Moon Crystal did not escape its revealing without any critique. One of the little tidbits fans, as well as anime sites, have brought up was the new art direction. The characters, though closely the same, have a different look to them. I personally believe it has a lot to do with the advancements in Japanese animation. Artwork is more refined now. Crunchyroll showed off some of the artwork prior to the trailer, and fans were mostly positive about how their beloved sailor scouts turned out visually.

So are you excited for the new Sailor Moon Crystal series coming to Neon Alley and Hulu? If you are, what are you looking forward to the most? Let us know in the comments below.
