Kendall Jenner Stars In Vampy Givenchy Print Campaign

Kendall Jenner has been making quite a splash these days. First there was the scandalous dress she wore to the MMVA ceremony that lit the internet on fire. Now, she’s back in the spotlight again, starring in a Givenchy campaign.

Does Kendall Jenner have a future in high fashion?

According to E! Online, Kendall Jenner is the fashion world’s current “It Girl”. With catwalk shows for both Givenchy and Mark Jacobs under her belt, it appears that Kendall Jenner is breaking into the industry with ease and grace.

It appears that there is a fashion love affair between Givenchy and the Kardashian/Jenner household. For those of you who weren’t aware, Kim wore a custom Givenchy couture gown to her much talked about wedding when she married Kanye West.

Kendall joins the ranks with Isabelle Huppert, Julia Nobis and Mariacarla Boscono and is photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott for the spread for the Givenchy spread. The campaign is to promote the Fall 2014 collection at the high-end French fashion house.

Did the fact that Kimye are friends with the label’s creative director, Riccardo Tisci, play a role in Kendall landing the campaign? According to Katie Grand, a fstylist working for Vogue Paris, the answer to that question is, not really:

She’s unique in wanting to turn her back on her celebrity when it comes to modeling, she’s with a smaller very respected agency called Society who work specifically with high end designers, photographers and stylists. It would have been easy for Kendall to go with a bigger agency and gone down a celebrity route but she wants to be taken seriously as a model just like the rest of them.

Still, it may be a little naive to think that Givenchy didn’t understand the type of publicity working with a member of the Kardashian-Jenner empire would bring to their label.

Furthermore, Kendall seems to be moving head full-steam ahead with her budding career in high-fashion. According to E! Online, she has already booked shoots with Chanel and another with Mark Jacobs. Details are still in the works for where we’ll see Kendall strut her stuff on the catwalk during September fashion week.
