Linkin Park has been keeping busy. Earlier this week, Linkin Park released their sixth studio album, Hunting Party , which was met with relatively positive reviews. They also created their own video game to promote the record. Now Linkin Park has even more on their plate, having agreed to participate in MTV’s Ultimate Fan Experience .
One lucky Linkin Park fan will win a trip for two to San Diego to meet the band in person. To enter the contest, visit mtv.com/artists/linkin-park/ , click on “I want in” and follow the instructions. The winner will attend the mtvU Fandom Awards at Comic Con from June 23 to June 25, meet the members of Linkin Park, receive VIP access to a Linkin Park show, and win some autographed Linkin Park equipment like a guitar, bass and keypad.

Linkin Park is also being inducted into Guitar Center’s RockWalk in Hollywood. According to USAToday , Linkin Park’s members, Chester Bennington, Mike Shinoda, Dave “Phoenix” Farrell, Brad Delson, Joe Hahnand, and Rob Bourdon will be added to the RockWalk at a ceremony at noon on Wednesday, June 18. The induction will be broadcast on Clear Channel stations and iHeartRadio .
The purpose of the RockWalk is to honor musicians who have had a substantial impact on the music industry, particularly in the genres of rock, R&B and blues. Linkin Park will be joining other music greats on the RockWalk, including Eric Clapton, George Martin, Jimmy Page, Iron Maiden, Carlos Santana, Johnny Cash, Van Halen, AC/DC, Aerosmith, Marvin Gaye, James Brown, B.B. King, Stevie Wonder, Run-D.M.C., and Queen.
On the same day as the ceremony, Linkin Park will be performing a live 60-minute session on Clear Channel stations and iHeartRadio .
But that’s not all Linkin Park is up to. According to AZ Central , the band will also be headlining the annual Stars of the Season fundraising effort to benefit Cardon Children’s Medical Center on Saturday, October 25 at the Omni Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Montelucia in Paradise Valley. The Linkin Park concert will help raise money for pediatric oncology and cancer care at the Mesa medical center.
Frontman of Linkin Park, Chester Bennington, is co-chairing the event. No novice to charity work, Chester said the best part about doing benefits like this “is when you’re at the event and you see all these people really excited about contributing and then watching the hospital grow.”
Linkin Park will launch “The Carnivores Tour” on August 9 with Thirty Seconds to Mars and AFI.
