Luke Bryan Rides Wave of Positive Accomplishment; Recognizes His Wife and Family As Essential to His Success
Country music sensation Luke Bryan continues to make headlines this week as he stopped in to take part in batting practice with the Saint Louis Cardinals while in town for his “That’s My Kind of Night Tour.” Bryan owes the event in large part to his friend, Cardinal’s starting pitcher Adam Wainwright. Though the interlude lasted only a few hours, the event gave a very busy Luke Bryan some much needed downtime before playing for two sold out shows in Saint Louis.
Bryan made additional positive waves on Saturday at a press conference in Nashville, TN when he gave credit to his wife, Carolyn, for his ability to be a good father. According to CMT News, Bryan was busy paying tribute to his wife, stating at the press conference that he is blessed to have found “a wife that lets you be a kid.” Bryan went on to say that “Caroline lets me be a kid every night onstage, and then I get home and she wakes up with two younguns at 6:45 screamin’ and raisin’ Cain.” He further went on to express his gratitude for finding a wife that understands the demands of the music business and pressures imposed on he and his family as his career has progressed. “That’s a big deal when a lot of changes in this climb come our way” Bryan stated. In reference to his relationship to his wife, Carolyn, Luke Bryan also said “me and her have been so blessed to sit down and argue like hell. And fight and make up. And figure it out. And keep on rocking.”
It’s no doubt Saturday’s press conference helped Luke score some points with his wife, as she and the kids were in the crowd as he sang their praises. His wife’s praises were well deserved. Luke Bryan’s climb to fame has been a long one. He was busy writing songs for Travis Tritt and Billy Currington in the mid-2000’s before signing with Capitol Records in 2007. At that point, he released his first album “I’ll Stay Me” which included the hit singles “All My Friends Say” and “We Rode in Trucks.” The rest is history.
At this point, it appears as though Luke Bryan’s string of positive events will go uninterrupted. In late May, the headlining country singer was also named People Magazine’s “the sexiest man in country music”. Not a bad little tidbit to stroke Bryan’s ego indeed! It’s nice to see, however, that all the new found fame hasn’t gone to Bryan’s head. At the same press conference Bryan attended on Saturday in Nashville, he recognized the source of all his joy; “I’m so proud of my healthy family. These days are amazing. It’s just so humbling to wake up in the morning smiling — and I have been for years.”
