Kris Jenner Music Video: The Internet Officially Owes Rebecca Black An Apology
It turns out Kris Jenner, the mom we all have to blame for Keeping Up With The Kardashians, was a YouTube star before YouTube was even invented.
For her 30th birthday celebration, the now 58-year-old Jenner put together a self-celebration video entitled “I Love My Friends” with the help of some buddies — including O.J. Simpson and Nicole Brown Simpson (spooky) — and the tune of the “I Love L.A.” song by Randy Newman.
The result is a cringeworthy four minutes that should have every Internet commenter, who ever went after Rebecca Black, reaching out to the “Friday” singer with an apology.
To start, Kris sounds tone deaf as she launches into the lyrics. “November 5th… and now I’m 30… riding down the highway with my friends at my side… My life without them wouldn’t be complete… They are my joy and pride.”
To transcribe any more of the lyrics would be a violation to all we hold dear. Just have a look at the Kris Jenner music video for yourself.
While YouTube commenters definitely don’t let Jenner off the hook…
“This literally makes me want to stab someone… Wow this sucks so badly hahahahahaha! How the f*** did it ever get produced?!?!… I’ve just vomited all over myself… Even for the world’s most narcissistic fame w***e, who gushes about her ‘favourite daughter’ Kim (her words) and loudly talked about how her then-9 year old daughter Khloe ‘needs a nose job’ (again, her words), this is still a new low.”
… they still give her a free pass compared to what poor Black went through over the Rebecca Black “Friday” video.
Case in point, of the 1.4 million views, only 1,585 people have given it a thumbs down, and not all of the 1,613 comments are detractors.
“She’s a beautiful woman!!… The song is actually catchy!!… This is hysterical”
The Black video has been viewed more than 68 million times, and it comes with more than 1.3 million thumbs down as well as over 671,000 comments, ranging from the standard “You suck” to actual death threats and the kinder “I’d kill her for free.”
While both songs are terrible, the Kris Jenner music video is way worse, in our opinion. Don’t believe us? Here’s “Friday.” Watch that and then watch Jenner’s again and tell us we’re wrong.
