Miley Cyrus Loses It Over Selena Gomez’s MMVAs Award For International Artist
Miley Cyrus threw some major Twitter shade Sunday night after Selena Gomez won Favorite International Artist/Group of the Year Award at the 2014 MuchMusic Video Awards last night. And the whole world saw.
Miley Cyrus just lost serious cool points in her ongoing – and so far – inexplicable feud with the serene Selena Gomez.
On Sunday, it was all eyes on Toronto, Canada as Kendall and Kylie Jenner hosted the 2014 MuchMusic Video Awards. At the event, Selena — who, like Miley, didn’t attend — won the fan-voted Favorite International Artist /Group of the Year Award.
Naturally, Selenators were delighted, while Gomez later posted a cute note on Instagram.
“Canada! Why the heck are y’all SO amazing?! ???????? thank YOU, thank YOU. Ill be right back.. Just wait #MUCHMUSIC,” she wrote.
But, over in fellow nominee Miley’s corner, things were about to get dark.
Taking to Twitter after losing the Favorite International Artist award to Gomez, the Queen of Twerk became the Queen of mean:
“Wigged woting is wack wust waying,” Miley tweeted shortly after the names were read.
Translation to adult: “Rigged voting is whack, just saying.”

In response to Miley’s slam of the show’s integrity, MuchMusic organizers posted the voting stats between Gomez and Cyrus.
The numbers revealed Selena triumphed over Cyrus by a few hundred thousand votes, “with each singer receiving over 20 million ballots in their favor,” Hollywood Gossip reports.
Cyrus’ unseemly reaction to losing out to Gomez comes after her onstage diss of the Latina in Milan, Italy, nearly a week ago during her ongoing Bangerz tour.
As the video of the ugly moment revealed, Miley grabbed a cutout of Gomez from someone in the audience and hurled it into the crowd while blasting her song, “F U.”
There’s been no explanation from Cyrus as to what her problem with Gomez is, but obviously speculation has fallen on to a certain, oft-shirtless young buck — otherwise known as Justin Bieber, Selena’s on-again, off-again boyfriend.
These days everyone’s favorite Canadian is being blamed for most things: global warming, the demise of modern race relations, Gomez’s Lupus condition — so it’s sort of inevitable he’s in the frame over this now undeniable face-off between the two girls.
Adding to that kind of talk, is Bieber’s recently posted then deleted Instagram photo of him and Selena over the weekend, captioned: “Our love is Unconditional.”
Into the mix of this, Selena posted an Instagram video on Sunday of herself coquettishly saying:”I will always love you, whatever words I say…I will always love you…” and more.
Gomez is in fact reciting the lyrics to Brit goth band The Cure’s 1989 hit “Lovesong.” Now, fans and media are wondering if it’s a message to the Biebs. And why wouldn’t they?
Selena captioned the clip, “Poems with @steviemackey,” which is a nod to her vocal coach.
But still…
Rumor has it Gomez now has “no respect” for Miley after her onstage antics in Milan. So, no prizes for guessing how the “Come and Get It” songstress feels about Cyrus’ Twitter tantrum over her International Artist Award win at the MMVAs.
As one commenter by the name of x7am wrote at Miley’s latest Instagram (at press time) of a white chicken, which may be a message to Gomez:
“Dear Miley… Please stay away from your phone when you[‘re] high.. Love EVERYONE!!!”
There’s no topping that.
