‘GTA V’ Will Feature Plenty Of Exclusives On PS4
GTA V will feature plenty of exclusives when it finally arrives on the PS4.
Unfortunately, the folks over at Sony are keeping the specifics under wraps for the moment. Since the franchise was once an exclusive to the company’s Playstation 2 console, Sony is understandably thrilled about getting a few perks that might convince people to pick up a Playstation 4 in the near future.
According to Metro, Sony’s John Koller is understandably excited about the exclusive GTA V content. While there aren’t many details to discuss as of this writing, the exec believes more juicy info will roll out in the coming months.
He recently told Kotaku:
“I think ‘GTA V’ is a title that did extremely well on the PlayStation 3. In fact… the index rate… the index rate is the amount of people who purchase one platform or the other relative to the install base—it swung well in PlayStation’s favor for ‘GTA V,’ a lot of it because of the partnership we had with Rockstar. We would expect that to happen here, too. ‘GTA’ is a PlayStation franchise. It started with us. We really feel strongly that it belongs as a key platform driver for us.”
In addition to arriving for the Xbox One and the Playstation 4, GTA V will also appear on the PC. In fact, the game recently appeared on Steam with a “Fall 2014” release date. Sadly, we don’t have an exact date to share with our readers just yet. Chances are that will change in the very near future.
If you have a machine that’s capable of handling GTA V at full throttle, then it definitely sounds like this is the platform of choice. The listing at Steam features the following — and extremely enticing — description:
“Grand Theft Auto V for PC will take full advantage of the power of PC to deliver across-the-board enhancements including increased resolution and graphical detail, denser traffic, greater draw distances, upgraded AI, new wildlife, and advanced weather and damage effects for the ultimate open world experience.”
Unfortunately for Grand Theft Auto Online enthusiasts, we still have absolutely no idea when the long-promised heists will arrive. Rockstar previously stated that this feature would appear before the end of spring. Since summer is literally right around the corner, some believe the company won’t deliver on its promise.
Are you planning to pick up GTA V for the Xbox One, Playstation 4, or PC? Are the enhancements and Playstation 4 exclusives worth a double dip?
