Rita Ora Breaks Silence Following Split From Calvin Harris
Rita Ora has broken her silence following her recent breakup with Calvin Harris.
The Fifty Shades of Grey actress has remained tight-lipped about the split after she and her DJ boyfriend called it quits earlier this month. Although Rita really doesn’t owe the world an explanation — her private life is nobody’s business — she ultimately decided to issue a brief statement about the split in hopes of squashing endless speculation.
Instead of issuing a press release or getting her handlers to send a message to the media, Rita Ora broke her silence with a handful of posts on Twitter.

Those who have followed Rita Ora’s relationship with the DJ probably aren’t too surprised they called it quits. Although she recently broke her silence on the matter, she told the Mirror about the pains of trying to keep a long distance relationship alive.
She explained to the website:
“You have to fly each other out, you just have to. Sometimes you fly for 20 hours, sometimes you only fly for five hours. It’s an effort, but you make it work. I’m not a fan of long distance relationships. If you had a choice, you want that person with you. It makes me pretty sad. But you work with what you’ve got… My dad stayed in Kosovo while my mum moved me and the kids here. If they can do it — and they’re still married — then ours is a piece of p**s.”
Prior to Ora breaking her silence on the matter, Harris addressed the situation in a brief comment on Twitter. The Inquisitr previously reported that the tweet arrived shortly after rumors surfaced regarding embattled pop star Justin Bieber’s involvement with the split.
“To address speculation — myself and Rita ended our relationship some time ago. She is a beautiful, talented woman and I wish her all the best,” Harris explained to his followers.
