Jon Voight: Angelina Jolie And Vivienne Jolie-Pitt Continue The Family Tradition In ‘Maleficent’
Angelina Jolie’s father Jon Voight is positively gushing over the first big screen appearance of granddaughter Vivienne Jolie-Pitt, who continued the family tradition by appearing in the recent Disney movie Maleficent as the young Princess Aurora.
In a related report by The Inquisitr, our very own Maleficent review claims that Jon Voight’s daughter was magnificant as the main character. That is probably why Maleficent blew away the competition on the opening weekend and also why Ellen Degeneres did a spoof of the Maleficent movie.
The 5-year-old Vivienne appeared next to her mother Angelina during one scene, which could not have made her grandfather happier. Voight positively gushed:
“Magnificent. She’s wonderful. It was a very lovely moment to see Angie with her on screen, and they were terrific together. It was just great. It’s the most wonderful thing when you see your little granddaughter, just like when I saw Angie on the screen, you know.”
Jon was referring to when Angeline Jolie made her first acting debut at the young age of four while starring next to her father in the movie Lookin’ To Get Out. In that 1982 movie Jolie played as Voight’s daughter Tosh and you can check out a YouTube clip of one moment from the film:
Jon Voight was asked if the debut of Vivienne and Angelina was similar, but he believes you cannot compare them because “each one is themselves.” He added, “But it was really a knockout to see her. I’m telling you. It was great.”
