Ellen DeGeneres Spoofs Angelina Jolie’s ‘Maleficent’, Still Has Her Sense Of Humor
Can Ellen DeGeneres take on Angelina Jolie? She just might! It looks like there’s a new evil villain in town, and her name is Elleficent. Television personality and comedian DeGeneres took to Twitter to post her own version of Maleficent.
Maleficent is of course the lead character in the tale Sleeping Beauty. Actress Angelina Jolie is the lead as Maleficent in the spin-off film that’s currently out in theaters. To capitalize on the box office buzz, DeGeneres decided to lend her support and make her own version of Maleficent by Photoshopping her face in on the official poster. While her eyes may not be the same enchanting green that Jolie shows off as the villain, the poster is pretty effective.
I have an idea for a sequel. Just throwing it out there. pic.twitter.com/avAnnIrlk8

This is just another instance that proves DeGeneres can keep her humor in tact, despite being thwarted with an onslaught of rumors about her marriage to Portia de Rossi. For months DeGeneres has been either cheekily denying rumors of their impending divorce or addressing them head on. Currently another round of rumors have come out circling the couple.
According to the latest gossip, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi are on the outs because there’s cheating and alcohol abuse going on in the marriage. Then there’s another report that Portia de Rossi longs to have a baby but Ellen is against it.
As if that isn’t enough, the image of the otherwise happy DeGeneres offended parents at a Catholic school recently. According to Philly.com, a Pennsylvania Catholic school principle wound up offending parents when she sent out a flier for a graduation dance with Ellen’s face on it. Later on the principle issued an apology via an e-mail:
“It was ‘completely wrong’ to use DeGeneres’ picture because the lesbian celebrity ‘lives her life outside the teachings of the Catholic Church,’ St. Andrew Elementary School.”
In the email the principle said she was “obviously NOT thinking. Perhaps I was distracted by the Oscar.” She went on to call the television host and comedian a “poor role model.’
Furthermore, a spokesman for the Catholic Archdiocese informed the elementary school that it was against the type of love shared between Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi:
“All Catholic schools in the Archdiocese are firmly rooted in Gospel-based values and the teachings of the Church. As such, it is expected that any promotional materials developed by these schools would feature images and themes that correspond with their core mission and identity.”
