Bethenny Frankel Is ‘Thrilled’ That Custody Battle With Jason Hoppy Is Over
Bethenny Frankel and Jason Hoppy have reached an agreement in their nasty custody battle, and sources close to the former Real Housewives Of New York star say that she’s “thrilled” that it is over. According to People Magazine, Frankel and Hoppy have reached an agreement and will be put an end to the ugly fight between them. While the two might have some disagreements in the future (that’s inevitable), they are both reportedly happy with their current situation.
A source close to Frankel said:
“Bethenny never wanted to take it this far, never wanted this to be dragged out in court. She’s thrilled this has settled.”
Bethenny Frankel and Jason Hoppy split after nearly three years of marriage. The couple decided to live together for the sake of their daughter, Bryn, 4, and, as you can probably imagine, things were not the greatest. In a previous article by People Magazine, it was reported that Frankel referred to her time inside the apartment with Hoppy as “brutal, horrendous, and excruciating.” She went on record with this information and also said how uncomfortable her ex made her feel when she was spending time with her daughter.
Things haven’t been easy for Frankel and Hoppy but with their new custody arrangements, they are both hoping to give Bryn the best life possible. Jason Hoppy’s lawyer said his client is also happy with the outcome.
Lawyer Bernard Clair said:
“My client is delighted that this custody battle has been resolved; that his co-parenting status has been acknowledged; that the parties’ child will have the benefit of being raised by both parents; and most importantly, that his daughter will no longer be at the mercy of a high-profile courtroom battle.”
As previously reported by The Inquisitr, Bethenny was asked to pay for Jason’s legal fees. It was suggested that Hoppy was paying somewhere around $900 per hour — which is the going rate for Hollywood “marriage attorneys.” It’s unclear if Frankel was forced to pay up or if she agreed to open her wallet for her ex — but that’s probably the least of her worries. A source said that Bethenny is really excited to have Bryn at her own place — without being watched by her ex.
The source shared:
“Bethenny has rented a place where she and Bryn can have time alone together, and where she doesn’t have to be uncomfortable. Bethenny’s a great mother and she only wants the best for her daughter.”
