Giuliana Rancic On Baby #2: ‘We Have One Embryo Left’

Giuliana Rancic and her husband Bill Rancic are hoping to have another child via gestational carrier — and they have one more chance to do so. According to People Magazine, Giuliana recently opened up about her surrogate, Delphine’s, miscarriage. Delphine was about nine weeks along when she suffered the miscarriage, and the news was simply heartbreaking for everyone.

Giuliana recalled:

“It was just heartbreaking. I just started sobbing uncontrollably. But I had to get myself together for her. She’s really strong and amazing.”

The reality television couple still want to have another baby and they are grateful that Delphine will try one more time. It is a very stressful time because Giuliana and Bill only had a few embryos frozen and the next one is their last one.

“We have one embryo left. I’m on cancer medication for a few more years. I’ve had to come to terms with the fact that I may never carry a child. With that said, this next embryo, there’s no guarantees. In that case, that’s it.”

Bill and Giuliana Rancic believe in miracles and they know that good things can happen even if the odds are against them. They truly want to give their son, Duke, a sibling and they are hopeful that they will be able to become parents for a second time. It isn’t an easy process and there are a lot of emotions involved but the Rancics are ready for what is in store.

Bill said:

“We’re fighters. Duke was a gift after a miscarriage. Delphine will be on board for one more try, so we’re certainly optimistic about the future and hope that we’re going to be able to give him a little brother or sister.”

As previously reported by The Inquisitr, Giuliana and Bill were hoping to chronicle their journey of becoming parents for a second time on the new season of their show (which airs on E!). Unfortunately they were hit with heartbreak and they are now faced with starting over. This time, however, there is a lot more riding on the outcome. While the couple could always adopt, they really want another child biologically (which is possible using a gestational carrier) and are hoping that things turn out okay.

Giuliana and Bill Rancic have a lot to be thankful for regardless. It sounds like they have made a wonderful friend in the process of all of this and Delphine will more than likely be a big part of their lives in the future. They also have a healthy, adorable son, Duke, and that’s the best part of their story so far.
