Paul Walker’s Brother Will Be In More Fast and Furious Films
Paul Walker makes headlines today due to the news that his brother Cody Walker will be in future films of the Fast & Furious franchise. A source told Mailonline that Paul’s character will be retired and his brother will join the crew. Apparently, Cody Walker seriously impressed the producers with his acting skills.
Sources also told Mailonline:
“Of course, Cody isn’t a replacement for Paul in any way, but the producers were grateful that he stepped in to help them finish this last film and Cody is likable and charming. It would be a tribute to Paul that Cody carries on the Walker name in the Fast & Furious movies.”
Due to Paul Walker’s unfortunate death, filming for Fast & Furious 7 had to be put on hold until decisions could be made about how to continue the film without Paul. So producers came up with the idea to use Paul’s brothers, Cody and Caleb Walker.
Cody and Caleb agreed to help finish the film for their late brother. Paul Walker had already finished filming some of the film’s most dramatic scenes, but apparently, there were still some action scenes he hadn’t done before his untimely death. Luckily, Cody Walker was actually a 25-year-old stuntman and proved to be very effective for the remaining action scenes.
The franchise posted a message for fans on Facebook when it was first announced that Paul’s brothers will be stepping in to finish the film for him.
“Our family experienced an unthinkable shock in November. We had to take the time to grieve Paul, the brother we love and lost, and to figure out if we should move on with our film. We came together and all felt the only choice was to continue. We believe our fans want that, and we believe Paul would want that too. Paul had already shot his dramatic scenes and most of his action for Fast & Furious 7, and it’s among the strongest work in his career.”
“We have resumed shooting and now welcome Paul’s brothers, Caleb and Cody, into our FAST family. Caleb and Cody are helping us complete some remaining action for their brother and fill in small gaps left in production. Having them on set has made us feel that Paul is with us too.”
Paul Walker had died at the age of 40 in a fiery crash on November 30th, 2013 with his friend and business partner Roger Rodas.
