WWE Payback 2014: Pay-Per-View Live Results
For those who are unable to watch WWE Payback 2014 on the WWE Network, The Inquisitr will be providing you with live results, updated when they become available. If you want an exclusive analysis, by The Inquisitr, if you should subscribe to the WWE Network (or not), check out our breakdown review of the WWE Network.
For those who are uneducated in the history of this WWE pay-per-view, WWE Payback 2014 is actually the second event of this series since its induction was only last year. It is the pay-per-view that replaced WWE No Way Out. The reasons are unknown on why it replaced it, but it did. It should be noted that both pay-per-views are taking place in the Allstate Arena, located in Rosemont, Illinois, which is northwest of Chicago. Also, WWE Payback 2014 is considered a “regular” pay-per-view meaning there isn’t anything special associated such as the Elimination Chamber being at WWE Elimination Chamber or the Royal Rumble being held at WWE Royal Rumble.
The big hype for WWE Payback 2014 is the possibility of the “Best in the World” returning to the WWE. CM Punk has been absent from WWE since the WWE Monday Night Raw after WWE Royal Rumble 2014. However, WWE Payback 2014 is a more fitting pay-per-view for CM Punk to return to. The primary reason is because WWE Payback 2014 is close to his hometown of Chicago, Illinois. The Inquisitr has written on the possibility of CM Punk returning at WWE Payback 2014, as well as a follow-up.
WWE Payback 2014 will take place at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois. It will officially start at 8 p.m. EST/5 p.m. PST, but the pre-show will start 30 minutes prior to the actual pay-per-view (7:30 p.m. EST/4:30 p.m. PST) on the WWE Network. Unfortunately because of the price difference, WWE Payback 2014 will not be available on DirectTV or Dish Network, just like in the previous pay-per-view.
The official match-card for WWE Payback 2014, which includes the pre-show, is listed below, along with match description provided by the WWE from their official WWE Payback 2014 page. This article will update with initial results once they become available. Detailed results, such as build-up, history, and match details, will be linked starting at 12 a.m. EST.
