Lamar Odom Involved in Fatal Car Accident

Last Thursday Los Angeles Lakers star forward Lamar Odom was involved in a automobile accident with a motorcyclist that resulted in the death of a 15-year-old boy.

The boy, a pedestrian who was struck by the motorcycle that Odom’s car crashed into Thursday night, underwent emergency surgery at a nearby hospital in Queens following the tragic accident but sadly died on Friday morning.

The young man’s funeral was held earlier today.

According to TMZ, Odom was in town to attend the funeral of his cousin and while there, hired a driver to take him to a barbershop in South Jamaica, the town that Lamar grew up in. It was on the ride back from the shop, that the fatal accident occurred.

Reports say that while Odom was uninjured in the crash, he was extremely shaken up and was even seen crying at the scene of the accident.

Some media outlets initially reported that Odom’s wife, Khloe Kardashian, was in the car with him but those reports were later debunked when Kardashian’s publicist confirmed she was not with her husband during the time of the crash.
