Kate Plus Eight: Kate Gosselin And Kids Returning To TLC For Two Night Special
Kate Plus 8 is back! and the eight little kids fans have come to know and love are no longer babies anymore!
TLC is set to air a new two-evening special featuring Kate Gosselin and her eight children Cara, Mady, Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah and Joel. What’s the special occasion for this new special? The sextuplets have turned 10 and fans everywhere now officially feel old.
Fans aren’t the only ones feeling old. In a newly released video clip for the show Kate Gosselin says that the times I’ve started catching up to her.
“It’s all still happening with or without cameras,” she says according to People. “I’m getting older, tireder, more worn out. The kids are getting older and smarter and giving me a run for my money daily and hourly and moment by moment.”
The clip released by TLC shows Kate Gosselin and the eight kids sitting down in the living room to discuss spring break plans. Entertainment Weekly reported that some things never change. During the clip, viewers can see that Kate gets into it, once again, with daughter Maddie, 13.
Previous reports by The Inquisitr suggested that there have been plenty of mixed opinions about Kate Gosselin’s parenting style. In an earlier report, daughter’s Mady and Cara reportedly insisted that their mom hadn’t “messed them up” or ruined “their lives.”
“People expect us to be damaged… Its so false. We’re fine. We’re better than ever, actually,” said Cara in the January 2014 issue of People magazine.
“People think we’re supposed to be messed up, like, ‘Oooooh, the poor Gosselin kids, they’re going to be scarred for life, waaaaah.’ Here’s the big news: we’re not messed up,” added sister Mady.
Later reports stated that the interview for People magazine was staged and that Kate Gosselin actually coached her two daughters into saying what she wanted them to say. Kate and her twins later appeared on TV and when questioned about the People interview the two girls grew quiet and Kate grew very aggravated with them.
Does Kate Gosselin control and manipulate her kids to make herself look better? Only Kate and her children know what’s going on behind closed doors, but in the recent clip for the Kate Plus 8 birthday special Kate reveals that she does know how to manipulate her teenage girls with their new technology.
“I got those girls cell phones and iPads so that I could take them away,” she says. “Yes, indeedy. And I’ve learned I’m not the only parent of teens who have discovered that little gem.”
While Kate Gosselin told US Weekly that her and her children were excited to begin filming again, ex-husband Jon Gosselin seems to be less thrilled. Then again, John has always been against putting the kids in the spotlight believing that all the attention has caused “developmental” problems in his kids.
Despite Jon’s protests, Kate Plus 8 will be airing again, this time to celebrate the sextuplets’ 10th birthday. Will you be checking out the two night airing on TLC on June 19 and 26 at 10 pm eastern time?
