Calvin Harris Spends A Lot Of Time Away From Rita Ora

Calvin Harris often spends quite a bit of time away from his girlfriend, Rita Ora. Unfortunately for the “I Will Never Let You Down” singer, she’s not too thrilled about this aspect of their romance.

Anyone who’s ever struggled through a long-distance relationship understands just how much work it takes to keep love alive. Although it’s easier to maintain when you have millions of dollars and private jets at your disposal, that doesn’t necessarily make the arrangement ideal.

Ora recently discussed her relationship with Calvin Harris during a chat with Metro. Since the singer is busy promoting her latest musical endeavor, she often spends quite a bit of time away from the DJ.

“You have to fly each other out, you just have to. Sometimes you fly for 20 hours, sometimes you only fly for five hours. It’s an effort, but you make it work,” Rita said of her romance with Calvin Harris.

She added, “I’m not a fan of long distance relationships. If you had a choice, you want that person with you. It makes me pretty sad. But you work with what you’ve got… My dad stayed in Kosovo while my mum moved me and the kids here. If they can do it — and they’re still married — then ours is a piece of p**s.”

While the Fifty Shades of Grey actress has trouble spending so much time away from Harris, it would seem the DJ doesn’t have a huge issue with it. In fact, The Inquisitr recently reported that Calvin feels this time apart is a necessary component of this relationship.

“We see each other like four days every two weeks, so it’s like an issue when she’s around. We’d probably get sick of each other if we had a whole month (together),” Harris told the Daily Star towards the beginning of May.

Unfortunately for Rita, Calvin Harris probably isn’t leaving the United States anytime soon. The DJ was reportedly offered $10 million to extend his stay in Las Vegas, which means he’ll end up spending more time at his California home.

“I need to be in L.A. because I have a gig in Las Vegas every week. Now I have to cope with all this hot weather and sexy people. I’m lucky I can get to do music and do well and still do normal stuff unless I’m out with the missus — then I get a lot of attention,” he said.
