NXT Takeover: Live WWE Network Results
Earlier this year, the WWE put on a special showcasing the talents of their up-and-coming generation of wrestlers in their developmental brand in NXT ARRival. Back then, we were introduced to brand new future WWE talent such as Sami Zayn, CJ Parker, Mojo Rawley, and the Ascension.
Probably the four biggest stars of the night were Paige and Emma — who put on a fantastic match that was reminiscent of the old WWE divas division — and Bo Dallas and Adrian Neville. Three of those four (Paige, Emma, and Bo Dallas) are now part of the main roster on both WWE Monday Night RAW and WWE Smackdown!.
Now, the WWE is at it again with NXT Takeover, a second WWE Network exclusive showcasing more of the NXT talent. NXT Takeover will actually be a major test for the WWE, following in the footsteps of an NXT event that was really successful. Every match, even the weakest, was very entertaining, well-executed, and displayed the wrestling talents of its participants.
We here at The Inquisitr will be watching NXT Takeover as it happens and will be updating the results as they become available. For those who have a subscription to the WWE Network, the event will take place on Thursday, May 29. The pre-show begins at 7:30 p.m. EST while NXT Takeover itself begins at 8 p.m. EST. The wrestling card is copied below, with a quick description. Results will be updated as they become available during the event.
NXT Takeover Pre-Show (7:30 p.m. EST)
Renee Young and Paul Heyman, the hosts of the NXT Takeover pre-show, will be joined by WWE legends Ric Flair and Bret “Hitman” Hart as they discuss the event. They will give their opinions on the upcoming card, who they think will win, and probably who they think will transfer over to the WWE very soon.
NXT Takeover (8 p.m. EST)
Live Kick-Off With Adam Rose And The Exotic Express
NXT Takeover starts with a live kick-off with WWE star Adam Rose and his Exotic Express. This is mostly a cheerleading event but it also serves a lead-in to the first match.
Adam Rose vs. Camacho
For the longest time, Adam Rose and Camacho have had a heated rivalry. Camacho has even beat up on some of the members of the Exotic Express too. The feud will likely come to an end at Takeover, since Rose is now a part of the main roster in WWE.

The Ascension vs. Kalisto & El Local (NXT Tag Team Championship)
The NXT tag team championships have been held by The Ascension for a long time; as Kalisto & El Local earned the right to take on The Ascension for the belts, will they be able to win tag team gold and break the record the current champs are setting, or will the Ascension continue their dominance?

Charlotte (w/ Ric Flair) vs. Natalya (w/ Bret “Hitman” Hart) (NXT Women’s Championship)
On Monday Night RAW right after Wrestlemania XXX, the NXT women’s champion, Paige, made an appearance congratulating AJ Lee for her win at the grandest stage of them all. However, AJ felt disrespected and, in her pride, demanded a match with Paige and even put her belt on the line. Pride comes before a fall, and Paige surprisingly ended the the 295-day reign of the “Best Diva in the World”. Now that Paige is the Divas Champion, she had to vacate the NXT women’s championship. A tournament was set up to find out who would be the new women’s champion, the final match of which takes place at Takeover.
This match is unique because Charlotte is the daughter of Ric Flair and Natalya is the daughter of Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart and niece of Bret “Hitman” Hart.

Sami Zayn vs. Tyler Breeze (#1 Contender for the NXT Championship)
NTX held a battle royale to determine who would face Adrian Neville at Takeover for the NXT championship. In the end, Tyson Kidd, Sami Zayn, and Tyler Breeze all eliminated themselves at the exact same time, prompting Triple H to set up a Triple Threat Match. Kidd won that match and now has the right to challenge Neville at Takeover. However, the other two are considered candidates for #1 contenders, so they will compete to become the #1 contender to whomever wins the championship at Takeover.

Adrian Neville vs. Tyson Kidd (NXT Championship)
The main event is the champion, Adrian Neville, versus the challenger, Tyson Kidd. Kidd won the opportunity to face off against Neville at NXT Takeover after a battle royale and triple threat match. Now his journey has brought him to the big match. Will the journey end in victory as the new NXT champion, or defeat, in which Kidd walks away empty-handed?
