Was Liam Payne’s Stage Fall Due To Drug Abuse?
When Liam Payne fell flat on his butt like a drunken clown at a recent One Direction show in Ireland’s Croke Park, fans everywhere laughed at silly Liam and compared Payne to an overly enthusiastic and clumsy puppy.
Yet in the wake of the filmed footage of Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson appearing to laugh and joke about smoking a ‘joint’ during the Latin leg of their ‘Where We Are’ tour, many of Payne’s legion of followers seem to be asking the question: “Was their a darker reason for Liam’s unfortunate mishap?”
Namely, if Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik do drugs prior to going on stage, as the recently leaked video appears to show, is Liam Payne joining in the fun and indulging in a little ‘Mary J’ before the curtain goes up and the lights go down?
As Zayn Malik would say: “Very controversial.”
However, as Louis Tomlinson was caught on camera revealing: “Zayn takes his job very seriously. He makes sure he goes through a two hour intense warm-up before every show. Just to get himself in the zone for the show. One very very important factor of Zayn’s warm up of course if Mary J herself. In fact I will present it to him now for some fantastic singing.”
Now obviously no one would want to infer that just because Malik and Tomlinson appear to enjoy sharing a joint or two pre-gig, that Liam Payne is suffering from the same affliction.
Yet Liam Payne is in the same band as Malik and Tomlinson, and like most bands, One Direction have a gang mentality. And we all know what a dangerous cocktail youth, drugs, and peer pressure can be at the best of times, but Liam and the lads are living out of each other’s suitcases for most of the year, so go figure
And of course, Liam Payne has already come under fire from One Directioners for smoking, albeit nicotine, but it just goes to show that Payne does enjoy a puff from time to time.
Turning our attention to Liam Payne’s onstage accident, Liam does appear to take an embarrassing tumble for no apparent reason in front of thousands of One Directioners, but noticeably it’s Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson who come first to the aid of a red-faced and breathless Liam.
Yet to suggest Liam Payne was intoxicated or had been abusing drugs prior to his performance is just a sad reflection on the rumors which have been circulating about Liam since Malik and Tomlinson were caught ‘getting high’ on camera.
Liam Payne is a professional, and as a true friend, Liam is no doubt concerned as anyone about Zayn and Louis’s recent behavior.
