Nick Lachey, Vanessa Minnillo Tie the Knot in Secret Island Ceremony

Singer Nick Lachey and TV host Vanessa Minnillo said “I do” in a intimate, top-secret, tropical island ceremony this Friday, reps for the couple confirm.

The star duo, who got engaged last November after dating for four years, sent 35 friends and family members invites in the form of plane tickets.

According to Lachey, the lucky guests were then flown to a unknown location to attend the special ceremony.

“Our wedding invitations were in the form of a plane ticket. We told them they were going away and the attire was ‘island chic’. It was all very vague,” Nick told People magazine.

The wedding, Minnillo, 30, explained to People, is just a “stepping stone” for the now happily married couple.

“For us, this is just a stepping stone to do what we ultimately want and that’s to start a family together.”

Unlike Lachey’s previous marriage to Jessica Simpson, that many speculate ended thanks to the popular MTV reality show Newlyweds, there won’t be any cameras in this couple’s first year of marriage.

“Just to clear the air on this, @VanessaMinnillo and I are doing a one time wedding special for TLC, NOT a reality series. Gonna be special!” the 37-year-old singer tweeted last month.

Their nuptials will be televised on a TLC’s special titled Nick & Vanessa’s Dream Wedding, which premieres July 30.
