Jennifer Lawrence’s Back Up Plan Revealed
Even though actress Jennifer Lawrence did bag impressive roles very early on in her career, Lawrence entered Hollywood with a five-year plan. If she couldn’t make it work, the Silver Linings Playbook actress actually had an impressive albeit left field back up plan.
Opening up about her back up plan to Kelly Ripa, Lawrence revealed all on Friday’s Live! With Kelly and Michael. During the segment Lawrence said of her back up plan:
“I actually had a five-year plan when I came out here to act. I was like, ‘I’ll give it five years, and if that doesn’t work, I’ll go to nursing school.”
Although Lawrence is riding a red hot career, we can kind of picture her being the most popular nurse in the wing, with her bubbly personality and her effortless candor. Even though Jennifer has been in the business for a few years and has put out fantastic work, her sudden rise to fame seemed to happen overnight. Even the Hunger Games actress admitted that it’s all a bit much, even for her.
“I still sometimes wonder if I made the right decision. In restaurants or airports, I’ll sometimes wonder, mull it over.”
The good thing about being an actress is that Lawrence can still play a nurse, which Ripa brought up. Jennifer obviously jokingly responded back, “It’s the same thing.”
Even though Jennifer Lawrence seems to be very extroverted, this isn’t the first time that she’s mentioned feeling uneasy by her sudden popularity that came to her with The Hunger Games franchise. Back in 2013 she spoke to Barbara Walters about navigating Hollywood.
“The main thing is the way people look at you and talk to you, because you don’t feel any different. A light never went off, like ‘Ok, I’m a new me.’ So it’s hard when people treat you differently, I mean you don’t feel any differently. It’s alienating.”
Lawrence continued to explain how it felt, and compared it to being an animal in a zoo.
“Yeah, but I don’t know. You feel like a zoo animal, or something. I don’t know what it is. It’s something in somebody’s eyes. It’s like not connecting, not making eye contact sometimes. And now I’m surrounded by people all the time, and I can be so lonely when everyone goes. But I have to remind myself it’s just being alone, it’s not lonely.”
Jennifer Lawrence is currently promoting her new film X-Men: Days of Future Past.
