Gwen Stefani: ‘The Voice’ Season 7 Coach Already Getting Coached Herself
Gwen Stefani’s role as a coach on The Voice has other celebrities already trying to give advice on being the best coach possible.
In a related report by The Inquisitr, back in April, Christina Aguilera made it official that Gwen Stefani was joining The Voice and gave her blessing. But apparently this position will be temporary:
“Just like with Shakira, she will switch off with Aguilera. While Gwen will fill in for Aguilera for season 7, which will start taping in June, Aguilera will be returning for season 8 which is set to air in the spring of 2015. As for Shakira she will be touring and promoting her new album.”
NBC has already confirmed that Aguilera will be back for The Voice Season 8.
The No Doubt singer launched her connection to The Voice by singing her hit single “Hollaback Girl” with Pharrell Williams. Adam Levine says he’s looking forward to working with both of them:
“I’ve been a fan of Gwen’s and Pharrell’s for so long — they’re both such inspirational people. They’re incredible, and it’s such a score to be able to get them on this show.”
Now, all of the coaches are competing, technically, but they do enjoy themselves in the process. Usher just pulled in a win with his unconventional coaching methods, which included making singers exercise by running laps and carrying dumbbells. Now the famous R&B singer is saying that Gwen Stefani should learn a thing or two from him:
“(They can) be motivated by the fact that I was able to win ‘The Voice. I think that they are both incredible artists, and as long as they are as true in their process of working with talent as they are with their creative, then it should work. They’re geniuses. For the most part they should just be true to who they are, that’s what I did. It was a bit unorthodox… but that was all a process of artist development.”
How well do you think Gwen Stefani will do as a coach on The Voice Season 7?
