Jessica Alba Rocks A White Bikini For ‘Entertainment Weekly’
Jessica Alba lets the world know that she’s ready for summer by donning a white bikini in the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly.
Why is the actress hitting the cover of the aforementioned publication with her incredible body front and center? To promote her latest big-screen endeavor Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, of course! It’s doubtful that anyone could find their way onto the front of Entertainment Weekly if they didn’t have something to offer the masses.
Alba plays stripper Nancy Callahan in directors Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller’s long-awaited follow-up to their 2005 hit Sin City. Although the movie was originally slated to arrive in theaters last year, the filmmakers decided to officially shove the feature into 2014 while they addressed a few issues during post-production.

According to Jessica Alba, moviegoers will encounter a slightly different version of her character in the sequel. Instead of someone who’s a little wet behind the ears, Callahan is essentially coming into her own with A Dame to Kill For.
“She was more naive in the first film. Ignorance was bliss. In this one there’s no bliss and no ignorance. I wanted her to transition from being a victim to being someone who’s in control of her own story,” she explained.
Alba added, “I was such a deer in the headlights when I did the first one. I was so green and just trying to take it all in. I have a fearlessness now that I didn’t before.”
Although Jessica Alba plays a stripper in Sin City 2 and is more than willing to rock a white bikini on the cover of Entertainment Weekly, the actress doesn’t spend a lot of time embarking on wildly sexual escapades. In fact, Alba told the publication that she thinks of herself as something of a prude.
“I didn’t have a lot of experience, so at first it was all kinds of weird… They would always ask me provocative questions about my sexuality, my this or that,” Jessica said of her early days in the business.
She continued, “Sometimes I would lie and say something that wasn’t true to make myself seem more interesting that I was. I mean, I didn’t even know how to walk in heels until I went to the Golden Globes for the first time.”
Jessica Alba fans can catch the actress as Nancy Callahan when Sin City: A Dame to Kill For hits the big screen on August 22.
