Chupacabra Sighting in Texas?
Yet another ‘chupacabra sighting’ in Texas has folks posing the age old cryptozoology question yet again: is it really a chupacabra or a fox/goat/wolf with mange?
Interestingly enough this time around, the alleged chupacabra spotter- who just so happens to be a retired wildlife biologist- says what he saw wasn’t actually a chupacabra. Jack Crabtree worked for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service for well over two decades, and he and wife Linda spotted the mysterious creature first on July 4th, and then again on July 6th.
Crabtree scoffs:
“It was immediately clear to me it was a coyote with a severe case of mange. It was obviously sick… I’ve been amazed with the fascination people have with chupacabras and other mythical animals… I’m really not a believer in chupacabras or Bigfoot or the Abominable Snowman.”
The retired animal expert says he passed the pictures the Crabtrees took of the ‘chupacabra’ over to a local paper, where the images ran on the front page. The whole incident is at least an upgrade from the last major chupacabra sighting, during which the witness cornered an unidentified animal and beat it to death.
