Justin Bieber Hits Cannes Ahead Of Show, Meets J Law At Vanity Fair & Giorgio Armani Party

Justin Bieber has hit the 67th Annual Cannes Film Festival party circuit, kicking off with the Vanity Fair and Giorgio Armani party on Saturday.

Justin Bieber left his legal troubles far behind and jetted out of NYC arriving on Saturday in Cannes, France, currently host to the 67th Annual Cannes Film Festival and a galaxy of film, music and every kind of star imaginable.

The 20-year-old hit the Côte d’Azure one day ahead of his performance at the VIP ROOM CANNES on Sunday, where DJ Afrojack will also play a set.

According to reports, Bieber has been booked to perform by DJ/Producer, record label and VIP ROOM club founder, Jean-Roch Pédri for an exclusive show.

French site Stephanelarue.com reported Pédri confirmed Bieber’s performance at the club, which is a fixture on the party circuit during the Cannes Film Festival and at its Monaco and Paris locations.

Earlier on Saturday, Justin was spotted walking around the French city with childhood pal Ryan Butler, other friends and his bodyguards.

The singer wore a white T-shirt, gold chain, sunglasses and black, loose-fitting pants for the afternoon jaunt.

Bieber added a tan leather jacket to that ensemble to later attend fashion designer Giorgio Armani and Vanity Fair’s Cannes Film Festival party held at the Hotel Du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes.

The Canadian partied with stars including Naomi Watts, Cate Blanchett, Jennifer Lawrence, Rosario Dawson, Gemma Aterton, Harrison Ford, Sylvester Stallone, Liam Hemsworth, Ed Norton, Robert Pattinson, Russell Crowe and many more at the exclusive throwdown.

Vanity Fair reported Justin was in “high photo-op demand” at the party and Lawrence was reportedly overheard loudly exclaiming, “I want to meet Bieber!!”

The pair met although Lawrence declined a photo, telling VF she wanted her meet with Justin to be as “real people.” The magazine added the two had a pleasant exchange.

Justin was also spotted chatting with fashion designer Diane von Fürstenberg and Entourage actor Adrian Grenier at the party, and from photos seemed in good spirits despite two, fresh allegations landing in his inbox.

On Friday, Bieber updated his over 51 million Twitter followers with a Instagram picture of himself and his crew aboard a private jet.

It was simply captioned “Taking off,” and tagged with a picture link.

Earlier Saturday, the heartthrob tweeted a simple message “Life is good.”

Back in the US, Justin has been hit with more legal woes. The first, an attempted robbery claim made by an unidentified woman.

In an incident alleged to have occurred on Monday at the Castle Park miniature golf, batting cage and arcade complex in Sherman Oaks, California, the accuser alleges Bieber reached into her purse and took her cellphone to see if she had taken snaps of an alleged altercation.

The woman also alleges Justin wrestled and spoke harshly to her and made her 13-year-old daughter cry.

However, all of the claims have been denied by an employee who reportedly witnessed the brouhaha.

As reported by TMZ, the eyewitness said the accuser was “overly aggressive” as she took photos of Bieber despite verbal requests from his security team to stop.

The employee also said Justin “never touched” the accuser, her purse or cellphone and has denied intimidatory dialogue was exchanged between the singer and the complainant.

Bieber’s lawyer Howard Weitzman later reiterated this to the Associated Press, adding that his client asked the woman to stop “harassing” him.

“I would think this would fade away, given the facts here,” Weitzman told AP.

A special robbery/homicide division of the LAPD is investigating the claim.

In addition, Bieber has also been slammed with a lawsuit by a paparazzo who claims he was locked in a Subway restaurant and injured by a bodyguard who is also being sued over the alleged January incident.

It’s reported the paparazzo’s claims do not match previous details he gave in a 911 call. The claim was later described as a “shakedown” by Weitzman.

For now, Bieber appears to have put all of that aside to relax and have some fun in Cannes, starting with Vanity Fair and Giorgio Armani’s bash.

And after partying with Hollywood’s elite, apparently Bieber was in the mood for clubbing.

The singer and his crew turned up later at the famous Gotha Club on the Croisette.

On a night dedicated to rapper Busta Rhymes – who was celebrating his 42nd birthday three days early – Bieber led the crowd onstage in a rendition of “Happy Birthday.”

Busta featured on Justin’s Drummer Boy single from his 2011 Christmas album Under the Mistletoe.

Shirtless and evidently delighted to hang out with the rapper, from video footage it seems the younger star ended his first night in Cannes with a Champagne-soaked bang.

The Cannes Film Festival continues until May 25 when winners of various film competition categories will be announced.

Update: The VIP ROOM CANNES has changed its Facebook cover image for the Sunday event. The promotion shot now only features DJ Afrojack and not Bieber.

Whether this means Justin has withdrawn from his scheduled performance isn’t confirmed yet in the club’s online listings.
